hiptobe_eraqus: (Excuse me?)
[Eraqus's communicator switches on without his doing...in this case, it looks like Kura accidentally turned it on while lifting it up with his tail. Kura peers under the communicator, then temporarily scampers out of sight of it.]

Yaza?

[Kura's not the only one that appears to be searching. Eraqus is looking around the small room he's taken up at Sunset Hill, with Gengo and Chuza also glancing around in confusion.]

Yaza!

[Still nothing. Eraqus stops, looking frustrated.]

Honestly...what good is it to have a Spirit that immediately goes missing?

[He sighs, and walks out of view of the communicator, which is still broadcasting. As soon as he is out of view, a Toximander's head can be seen slowly emerging out of the floor. The Dream Eater blinks in the direction that Eraqus went, looks around a bit, then dives back into the floor.]
dork_of_keys: (Default)
[From the looks of things, it seems like Sora's worked out a way to have one of his Spirits hang on to the communicator and film whatever he's doing. Judging by the bouncing, Jelly Bean has it... strapped to his head, maybe?

More importantly, it looks like Sora's found a skateboard.

...This will end well. Sora does seem to be proficient with it. At least, most missed tricks (and there really aren't many of those) only result in a less than perfect landing.

He's obviously in First District in Traverse Town, though the presence of the board to begin with might suggest that he's at least visited Twilight Town by now. It's fairly obvious that he probably intends to end this post by asking if anyone wants to join him for some fun.

And then he approaches the stairs in front of the accessory shop, having started near Second District, and attempts to grind down the rail. The angle of approach isn't the best, however. While he gets part way down, he manages to lose the board a little more than halfway and come down hard on the rail, tumbling off and tumbling the rest of the way down the stairs only to come to rest at the bottom curled up and clutching at his now bruised vulnerables in obvious pain and embarrassment.

Bruce circles above him clearly laughing his sick little head off while Jelly Bean bounces up to him to find out if he's okay. He may or may not be regretting the decision to film this...

motorvation: (wringing hands)
-you're sure this is turned on?

Yes, kupo! See, there's a little picture right-

Ah! Yeah, I see it. [The picture focuses off the brown and red fabric to a face at last, the face of a young woman with long, dark hair and a concerned frown on her face. That might also be a little annoyed.] This isn't a very efficient kind of radio, though.

[There's a strangled kupo! from the moogle, but by then Asami is only paying attention to the mechanical device now on her wrist, because she has a very important question.]

I thought only the Avatar could go into the spirit world, or people kidnapped by spirits themselves - so how do we get out of here? I have- I can't be away from home right now, not when so much has gone wrong.
alwaysfaithful: (Chris: Exhausted)
[Chris had first upon awaking, been thinking of a great many things and this was not normal by even by what he had experienced. A Komory Bat was on Chris' head no matter how hard he tried to get him off.]

Um... Hello everyone. I was told this was some sort of communicator so I have a couple of questions. First off, has anyone heard of a few people by the names of Kit Taylor, Len, or Maya Young? If you have can you please let me know? It's very important that I find out one way or another. Another thing is... how much do you know if this 'dream world' thing is true or not? It just seems a tad... suspicious to me. My name's Chris Ramirez, formerly Private Chris Ramirez. Thank you for your time.
fearmylaserface: (Fear my awesomeness)
[Well... That trip home had been enlightening. Unless it was some kind of strange dream. And the fact that Allison was gone and he woke up somewhere other than where he'd last been with her...

Besides, he doesn't sleep. Not really. He's an AI. He turns on the comm on video without thinking about it as he looks his body over...]

Yes! I'm not a damn Tonka truck anymore. A definite improvement.

I thought this place was bad for people not staying dead... Actually? I think I'm going to make a point to never assume someone died again. It just bites me in the ass later.  Here or at home.

[Actually focusing on the comm now.] Something really strange just happened... I was home again. I don't know if it was a dream or real, but I woke up someplace else here when it was done and Allison is gone. Has anyone seen her? She's a Pricklemane.
revenancenpcs: (Moogle)
[A moogle shows up on the communicator. It bobs at the screen; it looks like it's in the second district, on the stairs leading down to the lower level.]

Hey!

There's something going on at the fountain in the second district. I think you should all come look, kupo.

[The moogle flies over to the fountain; a glowing gold keyhole is now in the center of the design. You'll probably recognize it from the dreams you've been having since you got here.]

A keyhole, kupo! I wonder what it could mean.
raisethemoon: ([in the way])
[Luna peers critically into the camera as it comes on. For once, it isn't wrapped in the pale blue shimmer of her magic; she reaches out a hoof to straighten it slightly.]

Excellent. Hold steady, Noctis.

[She turns and paces slowly away, to the edge of what turns out to be the belltower.] Tonight is the night of the Winter Moon Festival. My festival. 'Twas to be our first in...in some time. We had meant to gift our subjects with a grand and glorious sky, to show them all that -

[She stops, sounding near tears, and tosses her mane in frustration. Then, visibly composing herself, she takes a deep breath and lowers her head, her horn glowing first blue and then a bright silver as she takes flight. The silver light coalesces around and in front of her as she rises, until she is silhouetted against what seems to be a huge, brilliantly shining full moon, hanging high in the sky above Traverse Town.

Luna lands again, her horn still glowing faintly as she maintains the illusion. She's a little out of breath, but smiling triumphantly and somewhat defiantly.]

Tonight, there shall be a moon!
knock_knock: (-classy)
[Wyoming has left his helmet off, feeling safe enough between leaving his motion sensors on and Gamma being very much awake.. No one’s going to sneak up on him- Even the spiky cat thing that he doesn't entirely trust though it's purring at him why is it purring that is not a normal cat thing.

He appears to be on a roof of some building, mostly because it’s got the best vantage point to see where he’s at.]

If I understood correctly this is some sort communicator, and I’m in a dream world. Which seems rather impossible but all things considered, I’ll play along for now.

And since I have an audience, willing or not, I might as well.

Knock knock.

[Guess who’s assuming this is some sort of trick and isn't taking this nearly as seriously as he should be? This guy.]
paopucharm: (to understand)
[The communicator flickers to life, Kairi frowning. The moogle is busy explaining things to her, and has just about finished when the feed begins.] -you got all that, kupo?

Yes... but... [She frowns.] Traverse Town is sleeping? I thought it was a world that was always there, for whenever people were lost between them... how could it fall asleep?

That's how it is, kupo! You're just as asleep as it is, kupopo. You okay?

Mostly, though it is a little unnerving. This is just like... [She pauses. Oh. Oh. This is just like the exam Yen Sid gave Sora and Riku! They went to sleep and landed in Traverse Town. But the same can't possibly be happening to her... can it? She's not trained enough for that. She can't even remember discussing it. She can't quite remember what she was doing last, so she can't even trust not knowing that. Only one way to find out, then.] --wait. Does anyone know if Sora or Riku are here? If this is the same test they took, then...
frostyfuntimes: (Come Again?)
So.

[A boy in a frosted blue hoody and white hair sits comfortably...on top of a roof. He has a staff perched against his shoulder and the stars are shining bright behind him. Hovering over his shoulder is a Komory Bat looking curious at the world around it and flitting around on and off screen. Eventually the bat settles onto the crook of the staff and hangs upside down. The boy glances up at the bat and looks like he's not sure if he should laugh or frown. Over all he just looks awkward and unsure of himself which is kind of a new feeling for him.]

I've never had a pet before, dreams or otherwise. It's kind of weird.

[He should probably say something else...but what? Jack looks thoughtful. Clearly, he hasn't done this before]

Everyone can see me though, right? [Frown.] There isn't going to be much point in me using this communicator watch if you can't. The Moogle looked at me like I was insulting him or something when I told him I didn't think it would work, but I guess if this is a dream things are different, right?

[He looks guarded, like he's not sure he wants to believe in that just yet. Too much prior disappointment]

Oh well. [Shrugs it off, let's just pretend everything is fine even if inside he's nearly freaking out.] I guess as long as the Moogles and the bat can see me it shouldn't be a big deal. I have to admit, the Nightmares you have around here are still a lot nicer looking than any of Pitch's.

[Jack swings his staff. Momentarily forgetting that the Komory Bat is hanging from him. The bat squeaks and flutters off. He looks up at it.] Maybe that's what all of this is about...maybe this is how I'm supposed to be a Guardian [Wait, that's admitting he WANTS to be a guardian, Jack backtracks and shakes his head.] or whatever. Although you'd think Sandy would be the one fighting in a dream world, not me.

[The bat lands on the staff again, testing it to see if Jack is done bouncing and twirling it. Jack looks sad for a moment but then brushes it aside. He's gotten bored of talking to himself. He stands up, kicking his staff up, once again disturbing the bat.]

Come on Snowball. Let's check out this town.
brodakota: (no helmet)
[Today North's just hanging out in his hotel room, sans armour at the moment because he's done for the day pretty much. And really without a TV or books around, there's not a lot to do besides conversation or playing with spirits. It's a bit hard to do the latter, since both of his spirits have passed out, in some cases on him. Theta hovers on his shoulder.]

You know, with all the new people coming into town, it always makes me wonder who's going to show up next. It's getting to the point where you could start making bets on who's going to show up next.

I'm almost tempted to try.

[He goes to turn off the communicator, but stops himself]

Also, I'm North, and this is Theta, if anyone was wondering.

raisethemoon: ([days fade])
[Luna looks extremely pleased with herself, fairly beaming into the camera.]

Behold! [She swings it around, showing off a Kooma Panda fast asleep on her floor.] We hath created a bear! Her name is Ursa, in honor of our beloved Equestrian Ursae. We plan to paint her coat similarly to theirs as well! Doubtless, she shall serve as fiercely and valiantly as -

[The newly named Ursa yawns and scratches her belly, before rolling to face away from Luna.] ...ah, as...

[A silver-shod hoof reaches out to prod the panda in the back as Luna whispers urgently.] Ursa! This is thy introduction!
grifball: (2)
[Well the armor might be familiar to some of you. Even the coloring. And you are already swearing under your breath, aren't you?]

[If you want to know why they're swearing, just keep watching. You'll catch on.]

You know what? I thought I finally caught a break. After dealing with all that shit with the Meta, all I want to be dreaming about is swimming in sea of snack cakes. Actually, I’m pretty sure that was what I was dreaming about before I got dumped here with the theme park mascot that came in and ruined everything. Yeah sure free candy is awesome, but at what cost? A long ass information dump that I may or may not have tuned out about three seconds in?

[Spoiler alert: he did tune out the Moogle.]

Whatever, I’m going back to sleep. This actually might be the first time I’ll be glad to wake up during one of Sarge’s staff meetings.
sexyimpact: (Borrrrrrrring)
[Oh hey look... It's Etna. She's still here, despite being so quiet the past two or so weeks.]

So... I thought maybe if I just slept long enough, I might actually wake up.

...

Guess not.

Although, I did have some pretty weird dreams...
promotiondemotion: (The culprit... is you!)
[Altis stands underneath a streetlamp, the area behind her dark. It seems like she took great care in picking out a good place to pick out this... thing she's doing. She certainly seems pleased with herself at least.]

I hope you're ready for a night of nightmares and torment and fear, for the lovely and evil demon Altis has brought another new Nightmare into the world! As long as I'm here, no one will have a good night's sleep!

Now come on out, and make these people quiver at the thought of going to bed tonight!

[She moves the shot to the darkness and something slowly hops into view. A spiny, spiky outline emerges from the darkness to reveal...!

...An ordinary, spirit-brand Pricklemane.]
fearmylaserface: (Getting beaten by Tex)
[Well... It'd been a long day, and he'd been trying to deal with the fallout of a fight with some nightmares earlier. Specifically... The fact that his aim leaves a lot to be desired. Of course a shot just happened to bounce a few times before he managed to hit something. The problem? The hit was actually a bullet clipping his Dream Eater. He'd been trying to make up for it since they finished dealing with the nightmares in question, carrying her back to where they'd been staying after gathering the prizes up from the fight. And now he's got his comm up, recording himself petting an agitated pricklemane with an injured tail.]

Anyone got some suggestions on how to make up to a dream eater for... I guess you could call it friendly fire.

I'm just glad this isn't the real Allison. Otherwise, I'd never hear the end of this.
defrostedpride: (not at all ominous smile)
[Even is not in the hotel, this time. The room visible behind him is extremely bare, save for some oddly-shaped glassware held up on metal stands. Something green in one of them is bubbling faintly. Even himself is rather tired-looking, shadows deeper beneath his eyes even than usual, but there is a half-smile on his face.]

Ah. Here we are.

Happily, I have been able to set up basic chemistry apparatus here, so if anyone finds themselves in need of Potions - only the basic ones for the moment, though I am looking into acquiring higher-quality ingredients - at, shall we say, less prohibitive prices, they are available in the Third District. Supplies are limited, however. I am unfortunately not made of time.
nightmaresfear: (pic#4993541)
[Riku's sitting on a rooftop, the bright neon lights around indicating that he's in the Fifth District. Bram, his Komory Bat, is perched on his shoulder, wings folded.]

I've noticed a lot of people have questions about Dream Eaters. Since it seems like we're all gonna be stuck here for a while, I've tried to summarise what you should know about them. Sora's added some notes of his own, too. We've both got experience with handling them, and we figure you guys could use the extra help. [He reaches up and rubs Bram behind the ears, who gives a contented squeak and closes his eyes.]

I'm attaching a text post to this message, so if you need it, you should keep it on your communicators as a reference.

hiptobe_eraqus: (Determined)
[Eraqus looks...very tired and worn, but trying to hide it. He doesn’t look all that successful at it. Apparently a lot is still bothering him. Maybe that explains a new arrival: a Meow Wow is now following behind him, while back towards the shop, a moogle flies off.]

I don’t know if a greater number of Spirits available enables them to share information better, or to reveal things to us that a single one may bypass. I would hope so. But at the very least, it should make fighting quicker.

[He looks back down at the Meow Wow.] I believe I’ll call you Chuza.

[Chuza barks (or meows?) in happiness, and bounces around a bit. Kura chitters at the new arrival and circles around, seeming to indicate that he still thinks he’s top dog just because he was here first. Eraqus sighs.]

I suppose part of that also depends on them getting along.
brodakota: (the best of bros)
[North is out and about in Traverse Town today. As much as his armour's like a second skin to him, it isn't exactly the most comfortable when he's sitting around in his hotel room relaxing, and he's spent a good deal of time in the undersuit that he needs a break from it.

But it doesn't look like there's any sort of clothing stores available, and North's been over most of Traverse Town by now.

So that means talking to a moogle, and while North's sort of getting used to them, they're still pretty weird. He'd take an Elite any day.

One will find North talking to/bargaining with a moogle. He's already managed a set of pajamas (purple pants with little moons on them and a grey t-shirt), but is having trouble getting some day to day clothes.]

You sure you don't have any sweat pants? I mean, the zippers are cool, but what's with all the belts?
