[Well, the communicator is not safe even when hidden. However, the only clue we have to the perpetrator's identity is the sound of purring. The video gives viewers a first person view as the cat walks from Sora's room in the dalmatian's house to... the bathroom in said house. The shower is running and Sora can be heard singing.

Huh, looks like Sora was a wee bit careless. The door is open just a crack, enough for the cat to carefully push it open. And he does so just as Sora pushes open the shower curtain and reaches for the towel hanging on the towel rack. He stops, looking at the cat and as he comes to the realization that the communicator is filming, viewers have a perfect view of Sora and nothing but Sora. Then it clicks that this is PUBLIC.
]

WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!

[Lucifer drops the communicator and runs as Sora first snaps the curtain shut again, then reaches out to fetch his towel. There's a grumbled litany of some kind as he dries off quickly and fixes the towel around his waist to cover that which has already been glimpsed before opening the curtain back up and stepping out, blushing and clearly not happy. He doesn't have anything to say as he picks the communicator up and turns it off.]

hiptobe_eraqus: (Resolute)
[Eraqus comes onscreen, looking quite serious business.]

This is a general message to everyone who's thought of traveling to the world that's appeared: please use the utmost care, and refrain from doing so unless you are absolutely prepared for combat, or are in a large group.

There is some creature or entity there that is attacking people at random, even those in groups, and has already caused a lot of harm. It is very fast, and no one has seen it yet even upon a direct attack, which suggests it either has some degree of invisibility or time manipulation. I would recommend people don't travel there until we can find some way to detect and stop it.

On that note, if you have any technical or magical knowledge on detecting invisibility or related, now would be the time to bring it up.

[Something peers in from behind Eraqus: his new Dream Eater, a Thunderaffe. She seems to be prancing in place, as if she's ready to show that strange menace who's boss. Come on, she can take it! Eraqus turns around.]

No, Soemon, you need a lot of training first.
trademark_skull: (Something suspicious)
[The feed clicks on and there just seems to be only Emizel there. Looking tired, in a frustrated kind of way.]

If there's anyone listening that has one of those rabbits too... I think I need help.

[He turned the screen and tilted it closer to the ground. There was certainly a Me Me Bunny Spirit with him, but it was being frumpy and ignoring him. In fact as soon as it noticed it was on screen it made a little 'hmph' squeak, lifted its head up and turned its back on it.]

See? It keeps doing that. Is this supposed to be normal? [Isn't even sure what he diiiid]

I do hate to be a bother, but I would appreciate it if someone who was present at the mansion could enlighten me as to what happened there. I have completed a brief overview of the oddities that have occurred since our arrival here, and I suspect whatever happened at the mansion should be part of this.
sailorlaughter: (Haters gonna hate)
Hiiiiiii, everypony!

[The pink pony seems cheerfully oblivious to the Hebby Rep chewing on her head.] My name's Pinkie Pie, and I just gotta say, this is the coolest dream ever! Whoever set this up totally knew what they were doing! And I mean, I've had some real dream-doozies, like that time when everything in Ponyville turned into cake and I had to eat it all while Twilight played on the tuba, but I've never-ever dreamed up my very own shiny dream-lizard before!

[She lifts a foreleg to point, causing the spirit to leap and clamp his jaws around that instead. Pinkie smiles.] I think I'm gonna call him Toothy!
go_dream: (so then i was like)
[Tidus is out, letting his Hebby Repp wander around him while he sits on the edge of the wall.]

Are those dreams still happening for anyone else? I thought they'd stop by now, but I guess someone's not okay with it.

[And why should it matter to any of them?]

When that keyhole appears, and it's broken--maybe the pieces are lost. Has anyone started looking for them yet?
unrecovered: (Well...)
[This is Wash, in Twilight Town, standing in front of a very large crack in a wall. Through the crack, there's trees and grass visible - the beginnings of a forest. He gestures towards it.]

Does this look familiar to anyone?

[Oh, look, he's fishing for information and baiting the Keycast all at once. Must be Tuesday.]

[There is a disgruntled looking teenager rubbing the back of his head, looking around and sighing. It is worth noting that currently he is only wearing boxers and a necklace, and does not look bothered by it.]

So that kupoing thing says this is a different world from where I’m from. [It is way too early in this morning for this crap…] If I was sent here, it’s possible that the rest of the guild was transported as well. If you see anyone with a mark like this - [He taps his Fairy Tail mark stamped on his chest.] I’d be grateful if you let me know. A few of them are pretty loud and obnoxious, so it’ll be easy to spot them. Just let’em know Gray’s looking for them.

In the meantime, where’s the best place to hunt these nightmares? And is it normal to form teams to do that? [Despite being in a different place, he’s ready to tackle some fights. If he’s here it means he has a head start in powering up his little creature thing, and that flying moogle basically gave him the mission of going out and exterminating them. He’d be a poor Fairy Tail mage if he didn’t accept.]
eternalfrolicbond: (Default)
[A lanky redheaded man in a long black coat waves at the screen, apparently already comfortable with how it works. A komory bat is fluttering around above his head.]

Didn’t think I’d see this place again. Hey, everyone, my name is Lea. [He grins.] Don’t forget it, now.

I don’t know how I ended up here again, but does anyone know what’s going on? The moogle said you guys had been trying to work out what was up but that it didn’t seem like anyone had figured out how to get home. Since this isn’t the exam, I don’t think anyone’s going to try to wake me up any time soon.

[Riku's finally made his way to Twilight Town, and has spent the day exploring. He's currently at the Tram Common, and for some reason is staring at a nondescript piece of wall. Interesting? Not really. But then he begins running his hand along it, as though looking for some kind of hidden mark or indentation. Then, after a minute or so of finding nothing, he gives up.]

...Funny. It's gone.

[He's mostly muttering to himself, unaware the communicator's on. For anyone already familiar with Twilight Town, they'd know he's looking for the crack in the wall that used to be there, leading into the forest. Feeling partly disappointed, partly relieved the way to his old headquarters is gone, he turns away from the wall.]

Alright, Bram. [He looks nearby, to his Komory Bat is looking on curiously,] There's nothing here. Let's keep looking around.

[From the looks of things, it seems like Sora's worked out a way to have one of his Spirits hang on to the communicator and film whatever he's doing. Judging by the bouncing, Jelly Bean has it... strapped to his head, maybe?

More importantly, it looks like Sora's found a skateboard.

...This will end well. Sora does seem to be proficient with it. At least, most missed tricks (and there really aren't many of those) only result in a less than perfect landing.

He's obviously in First District in Traverse Town, though the presence of the board to begin with might suggest that he's at least visited Twilight Town by now. It's fairly obvious that he probably intends to end this post by asking if anyone wants to join him for some fun.

And then he approaches the stairs in front of the accessory shop, having started near Second District, and attempts to grind down the rail. The angle of approach isn't the best, however. While he gets part way down, he manages to lose the board a little more than halfway and come down hard on the rail, tumbling off and tumbling the rest of the way down the stairs only to come to rest at the bottom curled up and clutching at his now bruised vulnerables in obvious pain and embarrassment.

Bruce circles above him clearly laughing his sick little head off while Jelly Bean bounces up to him to find out if he's okay. He may or may not be regretting the decision to film this...

motorvation: (wringing hands)
-you're sure this is turned on?

Yes, kupo! See, there's a little picture right-

Ah! Yeah, I see it. [The picture focuses off the brown and red fabric to a face at last, the face of a young woman with long, dark hair and a concerned frown on her face. That might also be a little annoyed.] This isn't a very efficient kind of radio, though.

[There's a strangled kupo! from the moogle, but by then Asami is only paying attention to the mechanical device now on her wrist, because she has a very important question.]

I thought only the Avatar could go into the spirit world, or people kidnapped by spirits themselves - so how do we get out of here? I have- I can't be away from home right now, not when so much has gone wrong.
salvagedlight: (kindness)
[The communicator is turned on to find a bright yellow puffball right in its viewpoint; it seems Linka managed to land on the wrist communicator and turn it on. The surprise is probably that this hasn't happened before. There's a voice coming over the comm unit as Linka stays right where she is, blocking all real view.]

-not too big, kupo, but hopefully you're not gonna need a lot of space for this!

Yeah, hopefully not. But it'll be good to have as much space as I can get-

[-With that, Linka squeaks and takes off, clearing the view to a distorted shot of the Fourth District for a brief moment before Ven automatically reaches up to grab her and stop her from smashing into the overhang above their heads.]

-and not a lot of stuff on the walls.

You'll have that here! Now, you've got your first rent payment, right?

Sure - here you go. [A rustling of cloth, a clink of munny away from the camera; the arm with the comm on it is still holding the wriggling bat.] That's everything, right?

Don't forget your key!

What? Oh, oh yeah. [Not that he needs one, but he takes it anyway - he can give it to Luna if needs be.] Thanks! So what do you think, guys? [Now that his focus isn't on the moogle, Ven lifts Linka to perch on his pauldron, finally giving a fairly clear view of one of the empty storefronts in the Fourth District, with a rather unassuming door and no sign above it or in the single window. Wheeler's pressed up against his leg, the top of his head just in view of the camera; at the question, he and Linka both squeak enthusiastically.] I think this'll make a pretty good clinic for you and your friends.
raisethemoon: (Mare in the Moon)
[Luna peers critically into the camera as it comes on. For once, it isn't wrapped in the pale blue shimmer of her magic; she reaches out a hoof to straighten it slightly.]

Excellent. Hold steady, Noctis.

[She turns and paces slowly away, to the edge of what turns out to be the belltower.] Tonight is the night of the Winter Moon Festival. My festival. 'Twas to be our first in...in some time. We had meant to gift our subjects with a grand and glorious sky, to show them all that -

[She stops, sounding near tears, and tosses her mane in frustration. Then, visibly composing herself, she takes a deep breath and lowers her head, her horn glowing first blue and then a bright silver as she takes flight. The silver light coalesces around and in front of her as she rises, until she is silhouetted against what seems to be a huge, brilliantly shining full moon, hanging high in the sky above Traverse Town.

Luna lands again, her horn still glowing faintly as she maintains the illusion. She's a little out of breath, but smiling triumphantly and somewhat defiantly.]

Tonight, there shall be a moon!
paopucharm: (to understand)
[The communicator flickers to life, Kairi frowning. The moogle is busy explaining things to her, and has just about finished when the feed begins.] -you got all that, kupo?

Yes... but... [She frowns.] Traverse Town is sleeping? I thought it was a world that was always there, for whenever people were lost between them... how could it fall asleep?

That's how it is, kupo! You're just as asleep as it is, kupopo. You okay?

Mostly, though it is a little unnerving. This is just like... [She pauses. Oh. Oh. This is just like the exam Yen Sid gave Sora and Riku! They went to sleep and landed in Traverse Town. But the same can't possibly be happening to her... can it? She's not trained enough for that. She can't even remember discussing it. She can't quite remember what she was doing last, so she can't even trust not knowing that. Only one way to find out, then.] --wait. Does anyone know if Sora or Riku are here? If this is the same test they took, then...
unrecovered: (Default)
[The video flickers on to show both Wash and North in what looks like one of the hotel rooms. It’s far enough away that it’s obvious they’ve set it up on a flat surface somewhere. Wash is still wearing his helmet; old habits die very hard.]

Hey. Does anyone know anything about these Dream Eater things? We know they can fight and that you can make them from little rainbow pieces; aside from that, I’ve got nothing.

[There’s a squeak from offscreen, and Wash looks over-] Hey, get over here. [-and leans out of the frame.]

[North, meanwhile, has his helmet off, because all things considered, this area’s probably safe and he can let his guard down a bit. ]

Also, do they all carry loose change or something? It’s an odd way of making money.

[He glances over at Wash.]

Everything alright, Wash?

Yeah, fine, just- c’mere!

[There’s more squeaking offscreen, and finally Wash leans back into the frame, pulling his bat into his lap. The bat squeaks piteously, and it’s pretty obvious that one wing is bandaged.]

Is there a vet around here, or someone who knows how to take care of this? [He gestures at the bandage.] I can do this much, but that’s about it.

[Responses will come from both Wash ([personal profile] unrecovered) and North ([personal profile] brodakota).]
