[Altis stands underneath a streetlamp, the area behind her dark. It seems like she took great care in picking out a good place to pick out this... thing she's doing. She certainly seems pleased with herself at least.]

I hope you're ready for a night of nightmares and torment and fear, for the lovely and evil demon Altis has brought another new Nightmare into the world! As long as I'm here, no one will have a good night's sleep!

Now come on out, and make these people quiver at the thought of going to bed tonight!

[She moves the shot to the darkness and something slowly hops into view. A spiny, spiky outline emerges from the darkness to reveal...!

...An ordinary, spirit-brand Pricklemane.]

Huh? But... Okay, I thought the eyes looked a little off, but the fur was similar.

I'm not sure why you'd actually want to control a Nightmare, but that's not really a good thing. Nightmares eat good dreams and make bad dreams. Spirits eat nightmares and make good dreams. And as far as I can tell, Nightmares only work for someone as long as it helps them somehow.

That's what I was kind of going for. It's not a bad deed if good things come out of it, is it?

I thought about something traditional and terrifying like Mammon, but I don't want to give it any ideas about stealing my stuff.

Yeah, it doesn't really look like a Mammon to me.

I'll think on it a little more. If all else fails and he turns out to be a failure, I'll just name him after one of two people I know.

Okay, one: not that kind of nightmare. Two: that isn't a Nightmare, that's a Spirit. And three: Evil. Really.

I was told that the more Nightmares there were in this world, the more nightmares people would have!b ...Or something close to that! [she tries to tiptoe around the fact that she screwed up and made a Spirit instead of a Nightmare though]

And I'm completely evil! Wickedly, awfully evil!

Well, I must have missed that memo. [Read: He's pretty sure that memo doesn't actually exist, and his nightmares are bad enough that he's pretty sure you can't make them worse, thanks.]

I, er, was expecting it to be a little more angry. I just... probably used the wrong pieces!

That was great! [Bolin then looks serious.] But I'd work on your entrance more...maybe try to figure out a way to make fire spring up or something. You know...really theatrical stuff if you can pull it off. That's what draws crowds!

You know, it would've been more convincing if you'd chosen a scarier Dream Eater. Nice try, though.

I wasn't trying to "convince" anyone! It was really supposed to work! Hasn't anyone ever told you not to judge a book by its cover?

Trust me, I know the book as well as the cover. I used to have a Pricklemane of my own, and I can tell you that the one you have is a Spirit, not a Nightmare.

[And you don't seem terribly evil or scary yourself, Altis. He's not convinced!]
