unrecovered: (Let me think about that one)
[The video feed flips on, showing Wash armored up and ready to go.]

Now that the other worlds are open again, it might be worth it to check them out to see if anything is different and scout locations for the safehouses North suggested. If you know a world well enough to spot changes and can handle yourself in combat, you should probably help.

I'll take the Mother of Invention, if anyone wants to take Ponyville or Twilight Town.
seasaltkeys: (Not as strong as I thought)
Is Twilight Town open yet?

[It's been what feels like a long time. And he doesn't want to be in Traverse Town. He wants to be somewhere else. Somewhere where he doesn't have to keep sorting out memories.

There's a long pause before the next part is added.]

Also I think Emizel went home. I haven't seen him around lately.
rampantfantasy: (replicas say what)
Weird question.

How do you decide on a name for something?

[The name displayed on this post is simply "Not Riku." That's really helpful of you, kid.]
brodakota: (Default)
So have the dreams been making anyone else think, or is it just me? [Concerns about the morality of the project you work for + confirmation that the project you work for has no morals + dreams about darkness and light and fun stuff like that/snorin pricklemane = insomnia!]
timeywimeyorb: (Elegant)
[A new woman's face make an appearance on the communicator. She is sitting at a cafe in Traverse Town's first district with it propped up against something on the table. She seems fairly comfortable with using it. Her dark hair falls over her shoulders and she brushes it back without thought. A cup of tea can be seen sitting in front of her and she sits before it with an elegant grace about her. She is in fashionable civilian clothes and she offers the broadcast a warm, if small, smile.]

Hello. My name is Setsuna Meioh. I've been filled in on what I believe are the basics of this place and what has been going on. Or at least that this is a very elaborate dream world. I'm afraid the Moogle could not give me much information on who was here or who would be a good person to speak with about the current problems that result in people being pulled into dreams that are not there own. Or why they are being attacked in them for that matter.

[She sighs, letting it turn into an action that cools her tea. She raises the cup to her lips, sips, and then sets it back down, she looks down at the tea with a pensive expression.]

I thought I was done worrying about being attacked in my dreams. I suppose my prediction that the peace would not last was accurate.

[She looks up. Trying to appear cool, calm, and collected. It's fairly successful except for the tiny bit of worry in her eyes.]

I'll be at this outdoors cafe if you would like to meet in person. I do prefer speaking that way over communication devices like this...but I can understand if you are shy to meet me. I only wish to have more information.

[The feed will end there. If persons are in the First District of Traverse Town feel free to sit and join her. The bag the moogle gave her rests on the table and obviously she hasn't made her Dream Eater yet. Perhaps you would like to give her some advice]
trademark_skull: (Fear the Reaper)
[Well this..sure was a thing. The room was dark, very dark than usual. Though being in Traverse Town it's not too much of a surprise. It's just that his coat generally helped resolving that. But no, not today, err...tonight to be more exact. Emizel tried sleeping, but now he wasn't. Instead he was huddled at the foot of the bed. Sooomething was amiss if he was being this upset, this stressed.]

[This certainly was not the first time Emizel worried about this, oh nooo. It really kind of scared him; especially being the only demon, and not even close to the right candidate for it. However that concern all eventually went away before. After all, it does seem impossible(and silly) for a demon to simply die in a dream world from a lack of fear, and after spending enough time here it's proving to be the opposite anyway. But maybe, what if, he has lax a little too much? Getting way too soft? He might be safe right now, but what about later? What's going to happen if they do conquer whatever darkness is responsible for this? What will happen to him?]

[Dammit, he was just starting to get attached to some of the people here. Now it might all be a bad, terrible thing. Sure camaraderie speeches were totally Valvatorez's thing, but this...this was kinda different. Or at least, this was different, right? Oh man, what is he supposed to even do?]

[This might be easier to think through if Moxie would stop whining at him, though.] ....Go away. [That undertone of aggression reeeaaally did not mean to be there. But at the same time, couldn't really be helped.]
brodakota: (no helmet)
[It's late when this text appears. At least, what counts for late in Traverse Town. If you're a normal person with a normal sleep schedule, you're probably asleep right now.]

I know it's late, but would anyone be interested in a game of cards or something?

I'm having trouble sleeping. No nightmares though.

[And he's reluctant to go walking out in the hallway of the hotel. He's pretty sure the moogles are slightly annoyed at the possibly noticeable groove he's worn in the carpet.]

eternalfrolicbond: (I mean...well...)
[Lea shows up on the screen; it looks like he's in Twilight Town, judging from the background.]

So the whole let's-talk-about-this-stuff thing reminded me. I'm not complaining, but it's been a while since we've had those dreams, and we haven't gotten any major clues about this new world yet, other than that weird message.

[Lea spreads his hands.]

I figure someone'd have mentioned if they were having dreams again, but it's way too nice that we've gotten this much time to learn how to walk around, unless I missed out on something big over in Ponyville. I figure we should start planning for something pretty big.
raisethemoon: (Myth and Legend)
[Why is there a gigantic flash of lightning and crash of thunder at the beginning of this message? Because Luna is involved! She seems to have triggered this one from the ground, where she stands alongside her sister on the steps of Ponyville’s Town Hall, and when the light is cleared she flings a hoof out in the direction Celestia isn’t, looking delighted and triumphant.]

[Opposite her, Celestia mirrors her sister, smiling radiantly. The fanfare and glory are clearly Luna’s idea, but the elder sister’s happy to go along.]

BEHOLD! As Princesses, we welcome thee to our beloved kingdom of Equestria! [She folds her wings, which had been spread in display, at her sides again. Celestia’s half-fold at the same moment, then completely furl a second later when she sees her sister’s have.] ‘Tis true that the dream limits it somewhat, but Ponyville is a lovely village, home to many of our finest and most valiant of citizens!

[Celestia, more calmly of course, picks up next.] That you become ponies when you enter this world is simply more proof that past the outer shells and the physical differences, we are all the same on the inside. To aid you in acclimatizing to them, I will gladly provide aid to any of you who transform into unicorns, and might need help learning to utilize magic pony-style.

And for those of you with wings, I shall be offering lessons in flight and weather management! [Another, smaller crack of lightning. That is the most dramatic way anyone has ever said that phrase.]

[Celestia bows her head gracefully.] And we shall both offer aid to any of you needing aid or guidance in adapting to a pony form.

[THE MOST GRACEFUL OF THUNDERCLAPS, AS A FIERCE WIND BLOWS THEIR MANES BACK MAJESTICALLY even though they don’t actually need wind for that.]

NOW GO FORTH! AND PROSPER IN THY NEW HOOFED FORMS!
brodakota: (North Pony)
[On the screen is a relatively new face. North has decided to check out Ponyville and this is the result. A purple unicorn with a green mane. He looks a little bewildered at the change, less because he's a unicorn and more because his AI is suddenly a baby dragon and that's really weird. Maybe a cause for concern. But he has bigger worries at the moment.]

Anyone want to explain what the trick to walking on all fours is? I don't think I've got the hang of it yet.

[OOC: This post has a variety of options. There's the video option, and several action options: You can mean North and Theta together and teach him to walk (A), Meet North on his own after he's mostly figured it out and had a chance to practice (B), or meet Theta on his own as North decided to rest a bit and ended up falling asleep and Theta wanted to play. (C). Just let me know in the subject line.]

salvagedlight: (whatever it takes)
[Anyone in Traverse Town's Second District might notice weird flashes of light coming from down the small path to the Dalmatian house. This isn't something that's probably safe to practice inside the relatively small rooms of most Traverse Town buildings, but most of the space outdoors is so open that Ven's wary about practicing out there, too. He knows he looks young, and he's wary about people telling him he's overreaching himself or that he shouldn't be doing what he's doing, and the light would draw obvious attention so he's trying to hide it.]

[It's not all that successful, though, since the light is still really bright, and it flashes from the alley out into the main plaza of the District. There's also a rather odd sound with each flash, a soft, high, sort of scraping echo that's much harder to detect but is apparent enough from close in. Whatever Ven's trying, it involves his Keyblade, as the weapon is held out in front of him with both hands, and it doesn't seem to be working very well as the mostly determined but somewhat frustrated expression on his face reveals. For once, his Spirits are nowhere to be seen.]
seasaltkeys: (Sparkle)
Path A

[There's a Roxas on the screen. He looks exhausted. And kind of worried, and there's a bit of embarrassment in there to. Still, he's in a bit of an emergency and he needs help.]

Has anyone seen Sparkle? She's been missing for a while now.

[By a while, he means a few hours, enough to worry him. She always comes when he calls.]

She's a Me Me Bunny. I haven't painted her.

I think she's still in Traverse Town somewhere.

Path B:

[There's a me me bunny hoping around near the post office. This looks like  fun place to be. Roxas has never really let her explore like this before. Approach Y/N?]
dork_of_keys: (Default)
[Sora is sitting on his bed, not really doing much of anything when he turns the communicator on. Sitting on the bed next to him is Toxy. The Toxiander is looking at something off to the side. A pair of eyes peeks over the side of the bed. They're the eyes of an Escarglow if anyone is familiar with them. Toxy seems a bit wary of the snail. Sora just watches for a moment.]

I'm pretty sure it was an accident Toxy. You did kind of startle him.

[Toxy makes a noise. He's obviously whining and any other Spirits watching at least will understand that Toxy is griping about having had Stop cast on him after startling the new Spirit shortly after it was made. For its part, the Snail Spirit does seem apologetic.

Sora leans over the side of the bed and pulls the snail up. Shortly after the Spirit is up on the bed, the top petals of a Wheeflower wander into view. The flower doesn't wait for an invitation and hops up onto the bed. It seems to think the snail's reaction was justified and at least it used a spell that doesn't do any damage right? Toxy crawls into Sora's lap, clearly pouting. The snail really is sorry and it says so.
]

Come on, you guys, accidents happen.

[Toxy sniffs at the snail. The snail... doesn't sniff back, seeing as it doesn't exactly have a nose, but it looks closer at Toxy. Which looks weird since its eyes are on stalks and it doesn't really have to move its face any closer.

Sora turns and looks at the communicator. He doesn't seem surprised that it's on, but he doesn't say anything right away. Instead he turns back to the Spirits.
]

Are we cool?

[The snail offers another apology to Toxy. The Toximander seems to accept it.

Now Sora addresses the communicator. His Spirits settle on their own conversation, mostly about what just happened.
]

So uh... heh, this wasn't what I was posting about but it kind of happened. [he makes the vague gesture to indicate the Spirits, who are now thoroughly occupied with their conversation, even if Toxy is still in his lap.] Uh, anyway, I wanted to ask a bit of help on something to try to deal with that monster on the ship. I... kind of went there a couple days ago to try something, but... it didn't exactly work out. It might with better planning though?

Uh, we know it's fast, and invisible. What I was doing the other day was a little stupid among other things, but...I was going around the ship casting magic around, more or less at random. I figured if the monster didn't have any idea it was coming, it couldn't avoid it or anything and maybe I could at least do something to make it visible. And almost zapped someone else. Sorry about that, by the way...

But we got to talking. The spells I was using were mostly damaging area spells and Slow and Stop. So what I wanted to ask is who else knows any of these spells? Or has Spirits that know them? Haste would be useful too. I don't know it, but I know some Spirits do. And I don't know if we want to meet up and try to do some planning or what, but maybe it might help to know who can do what?
brbjudgingyou: (➠ Oh ho ho)
No offense to the adorable little guide, but a watch communicator? Not exactly my style. Now if it had been from a place like, oh say... Pegaso? Then you certainly wouldn't be hearing me complain.

[ excuse Joshua's long suffering sigh. just can't get any decent threads around here, huh? ]

I suppose beggars can't be choosers, hmm?

[ after a pause. ]

At least this is better than another one revolving around Tin Pin.

trademark_skull: (Sorrow)
... What do you do when you feel alone?

[Apparently, nothing wants to make him stop thinking about it now.]
brodakota: (no helmet)
[It's early, but not early enough that it's obscene or anything. If you're a early riser, you're probably up at this time anyway.

North's on the camera looking a little bleary eyed, like he just woke up. Normally this would be a text, but he's not awake enough for that.]

Word to the wise, don't leave your spirit treats where the spirits can get at them.

[If one could see his room, one would see a chaos of dream pieces and clothing thrown about the room, as well as a very annoyed pricklemane because he did not get to eat. There's a nose poking into the screen now, that's alternating between sniffing and bumping against North, trying to get his attention. Person, person, pay attention to me, person. Do you have more treats? I'm still hungry and they were good. Person!

North has to push the nose away.]

Fine, we'll go outside and get more.

[He looks down at the floor before picking up something might have been clothing at one point.]

You ate my shirt to?

[end feed]

hiptobe_eraqus: (Resolute)
[Eraqus comes onscreen, looking quite serious business.]

This is a general message to everyone who's thought of traveling to the world that's appeared: please use the utmost care, and refrain from doing so unless you are absolutely prepared for combat, or are in a large group.

There is some creature or entity there that is attacking people at random, even those in groups, and has already caused a lot of harm. It is very fast, and no one has seen it yet even upon a direct attack, which suggests it either has some degree of invisibility or time manipulation. I would recommend people don't travel there until we can find some way to detect and stop it.

On that note, if you have any technical or magical knowledge on detecting invisibility or related, now would be the time to bring it up.

[Something peers in from behind Eraqus: his new Dream Eater, a Thunderaffe. She seems to be prancing in place, as if she's ready to show that strange menace who's boss. Come on, she can take it! Eraqus turns around.]

No, Soemon, you need a lot of training first.
brodakota: (back to back badasses)
[Of all the Freelancers here, North is probably the happiest to see the Mother of Invention. For all intents and purposes, it's home for him, and after a few months of technicolour monsters and other weird goings-on, it's nice to see something familiar, dream world or not. He spends some time on the bridge, before heading out into the ship, seeing all the familiar places. Mess hall's still intact, and it looks like the common room is as well, with it's lousy selection of books. The training floor hasn't changed, and it's nice to see that his name is still where it should be on the Leaderboard. As troublesome as it is, he is number five and takes a decent amount of pride in that. They don't spend a lot of time there, taking out the nightmares quickly before moving on. It still brings back a few unpleasant memories.

Theta's been pretty quiet throughout the whole journey, but he skates alongside North's head, equally glad for the familiarity. The last time either of them saw this place had been in a dream, so the, somewhat real thing is good to have, and North lets his hand trace the wall. He rounds a familiar corner, and heads to a familiar room.

His barrack is pretty much how he left it. Bed, table, locker, all the comforts of home. He sits down on the bed. Home sweet home. After a few moments, he turns on the communicator.]

I was just thinking that anyone exploring this place might want to avoid the barracks, or at least rooms 1115 and 1116. 1115's mine, and 1116 is my sister's. If she shows up here, I don't think she'd approve of anyone going through her stuff, dream world or not.

[Private text to Xion]

I guess I can actually give you a tour of my world now, if you want it? Unfortunately there's not a lot of places for ice cream.
