[There's a strangled kupo! from the moogle, but by then Asami is only paying attention to the mechanical device now on her wrist, because she has a very important question.]

I thought only the Avatar could go into the spirit world, or people kidnapped by spirits themselves - so how do we get out of here? I have- I can't be away from home right now, not when so much has gone wrong.

It's good to meet you, miss. I am Ienzo; in answer to your question, this dream world is not the same as your spirit world. We have all been trying to find a way home, with little success thus far.

[That frown deepens just a little, though not to the point where it's a full frown - she's a well-bred young lady, it's more or less been trained out of her to just broadcast her emotions, at least the bad ones. Especially in a difficult situation.]

This isn't the spirit world? Then why are there spirits here? [The picture angles to a Pricklemane standing by the young lady's leg, looking pretty happy about being acknowledged.] The batbear called them Spirits, it sounded like.

Spirits are the name used for the creatures, but this realm is different to the world to which you're accustomed. Things work differently here, which makes it confusing at first, I'm afraid.

You know, insulting the Moogles might not be the best idea. At least, not right in front of one.

And it's a dream world. Whatever you know from home probably doesn't apply. [Yeah, metaphysics are really not Wash's thing, but at least he knows that much.]

Insulting the-? Oh. [There's a slightly indignant snorting kupo from behind her; give her a second, Wash, she just has to placate this moogle, all right?]

This is the dream world, not the spirit world. Whatever spirits you're thinking of, they're probably not like the ones here.

This is a Spirit. [He reaches up and gives Bram a scratch behind the ear.] As for how to get out, we're all working on it, believe me. We want to get out as much as you do.

[She actually doesn't have much knowledge of the spirits more or less at all, just that they exist. They tend to avoid Republic City and stick to the more "natural" parts of the world, and her father's education for her was lacking a bit in the "spiritual" sense. Which she now knows the reason behind, but it still means she has little to go on.]

I've never actually seen a spirit, just heard about them. [She peers at the bat a little more closely, turning her eyes down to her own Pricklemane for a moment.] I guess it makes sense that they don't all look the same, though.

What have you tried to get out? If there's a car around here I could give it a try.

It's gonna take more than cars to get out of this place. Like I said, this is a dream world, which means all of us are asleep. Including the worlds themselves.

As for what we've tried so far... Finding the keyholes seems to be our best bet.

[He shrugs]

And I don't think there is a way out.

A communicator, hmm? I guess that makes sense, with the visual aid it wouldn't be a telephone or a radio.

[So a... television, probably? She can decide that later.]

There has to be a way out. Even if you don't know it's there, it has to exist. [A bit of a shadow crosses her face.] That's one of the things I've learned.

We haven't explored Twilight Town much yet, but we can pass along a map that tells you which areas of Traverse Town have more nightmares here so you can avoid them.

The communicator works pretty well when you get used to it.

I don't think we have any avatars here, and we're all trying to get home, but haven't had much luck.

[Namine offers a sympathetic smile. She knows what it's like to be pulled away when things at home were uncertain.]

There isn't an Avatar here? [Sorry, she's just grown up with that idea all her life; it's almost impossible to conceive of a world without one. Actually more like frightening.]

Is there anything anyone does know? Everyone I've talked to over this seems so... uncertain about things.

[Scoffs at the idea of being kidnapped.] Heh, I'd like to see someone try to kidnap me...[And then he remembers the incident with Bunny and the Yetis.] [mutters] Well...someone who doesn't have yetis working for them.

...They're the Avatar. They help bring peace and stability to the world. [She looks a little baffled as to why you don't know this, Jack. It's something she's known her entire life, so she doesn't realize that others might not.] Right now she's a Waterbender named Korra.
