003 [Accidental Video]

[Eraqus's communicator switches on without his doing...in this case, it looks like Kura accidentally turned it on while lifting it up with his tail. Kura peers under the communicator, then temporarily scampers out of sight of it.]

Yaza?

[Kura's not the only one that appears to be searching. Eraqus is looking around the small room he's taken up at Sunset Hill, with Gengo and Chuza also glancing around in confusion.]

Yaza!

[Still nothing. Eraqus stops, looking frustrated.]

Honestly...what good is it to have a Spirit that immediately goes missing?

[He sighs, and walks out of view of the communicator, which is still broadcasting. As soon as he is out of view, a Toximander's head can be seen slowly emerging out of the floor. The Dream Eater blinks in the direction that Eraqus went, looks around a bit, then dives back into the floor.]

You know, horror movies. This is like watching one of those found footage movies that used to be so popular. Leave the camera on long enough and the monster eventually shows up.

Now why is it doing that, I wonder? The other Spirits seem entirely too affectionate.

Perhaps I should look into acquiring one of those, if it is going to be so shy and retiring. I wonder what causes the different behavior. Is it entirely determined by type, or do they possess individual likes and dislikes? Hmm...

If you want, although it hardly seems helpful if one can't ever locate it. [Plus that darkness thing is just really setting him on edge.]

They seem to have some shared traits between kinds, but individual likes as well.

[Sora hasn't been in Twilight Town for the last few posts from there, but he's here this time. He halfway suspects that the Spirit Eraqus is looking for is a Toximander even before it rises from the floor.]

It's something they can do naturally. I can't say why it's hiding now, though. Unless it's just really shy.

[Now that Sora thinks of it, the Spirit's behavior reminds him a little bit of a skittish cat in a new setting. He could recall his father bringing home a stray cat once. Poor thing had been so nervous the first couple weeks she'd hid at every little sound and was still very shy after that.]

[Bolin remembers when Pabu used to do something similar with Mako. Of course, Pabu never melted into the floor but he did hide in laundry baskets and inside cupboards.]

I dunno...maybe you didn't have to do anything. He could just be easily intimidated. [He shrugs. He's only saying what he thinks and YOU might not think so but you ARE kind of intimidating.]

Well it doesn't help that your opponent can apparently melt into the floorboards.

[He's taken to hiding in one of the houses in Twilight Town when he comes over, which isn't horribly often, but is often enough that Wash probably wouldn't like it. At least he hadn't passed out after that first time. But he's going to peer at the communicator, because seriously, what...?]
