004 [Video]
[Eraqus comes onscreen, looking quite serious business.]
This is a general message to everyone who's thought of traveling to the world that's appeared: please use the utmost care, and refrain from doing so unless you are absolutely prepared for combat, or are in a large group.
There is some creature or entity there that is attacking people at random, even those in groups, and has already caused a lot of harm. It is very fast, and no one has seen it yet even upon a direct attack, which suggests it either has some degree of invisibility or time manipulation. I would recommend people don't travel there until we can find some way to detect and stop it.
On that note, if you have any technical or magical knowledge on detecting invisibility or related, now would be the time to bring it up.
[Something peers in from behind Eraqus: his new Dream Eater, a Thunderaffe. She seems to be prancing in place, as if she's ready to show that strange menace who's boss. Come on, she can take it! Eraqus turns around.]
No, Soemon, you need a lot of training first.

That thing seems to like kicking its opponents when they're down if it can. I only remember getting hit once, but it did a lot more damage than that.
I've... fought something that could make itself invisible before, but it wasn't complete. It still cast a shadow and it kind of shimmered like... Oh! Like the Meows Wows do when they use Vanish. Also fought it in a pretty sunny place on a jungle world where there was dirt and leaves for it to kick up.
[Sora's a little more amused at the Thunderaffe than the cat is and her eagerness earns a smile. Lucifer just huffs and grooms himself.]

[Eraqus just ignores Soemon's antics for now.]
Or else it's capable of doing a lot of damage in one hit. [Which is just as worrisome.]
Hmmm. Yes, I've seen some kinds of enemies use an invisibility ability before, but never so complete as to make it undetectable...
no subject
Never a dull moment with the Spirits.]
Maybe. [Sora rubs at his head absently. With a blow to the head, it is actually pretty dangerous if it can hit hard enough to knock someone out. Healing magic certainly helped a lot here. But, Tony hadn't been knocked out and he'd still been pretty roughed up. And he had that powered armor on top of that.]
It could just be that it has a really clean place that isn't very well lit. Maybe it would help if we could do something so it would leave a trail?

I know some magic, but I dunno if it's gonna help..

What sort of magic?

My abilities are mostly elemental.

More people have been hurt by that thing?
[All the more reason to get stronger to stop it.]

[He should probably respond here, shouldn't he?]
...Yes. It seems more than I thought.
no subject
Whatever it was, it got me.
[And that's a problem for him.]

Do you have any information on it aside from, "something's attacking people?"
no subject
[He sighs] Not much. No one seems to have seen it, and it moves fast. I recalled hearing some growling noise nearby, but I don't know if that was from a Nightmare or otherwise.
no subject
Growling noises. [He says it slowly, thoughtfully, because that's easier than showing how he really feels about that revelation. That's not a good thing.] What else besides a Nightmare would be making those noises?

[Someone's still a little grumpy about that invisible lovetap. She's been on the receiving end of blood bending before, and this was distinctly, starkly different.]
I didn't hear anything when we were ambushed.. [Growling? She'll keep that in mind for Next Time.] But I might be able to use earth bending to help with any further investigations.
no subject
You didn't hear anything like a growl or a hiss? That's odd...
Can you do that with all the metal on that ship, without damaging the ship itself?
no subject
Nothing. [Firmly, though it's clear she's a touch disconcerted by the fact.] Was the sound mechanical, or animal-like?
[And now, the faintest trace of a smirk.] Not all applications of bending are offensive in nature. In this instance, the fact the majority of the ship is made of metal works in my favour.

[Celestia inclines the camera slightly to show her own Thunderaffe, who appears to be bravely rescuing a pot of soup from the dangerous flames of the stove. Celestia patiently sets the soup back with magic as she continues to speak.]
I spent many hours in the entry room to the ship, where the clear wall that isn't glass allows for viewing the stars. Many of them were alone. I believe that room, at least, is safe.
no subject
Hopefully so. However, since this being has no regard for groups or ability to fight, I am not sure if it regards certain areas as safe, either.
But if it is staying away from that area specifically, perhaps it would help to find out why.

We could try catching it's footprints in the snow...assuming it's not also flying.
no subject
Snow may work quickly, but that would likely melt. Perhaps paint from the Spirits' paint guns...but yes, this is assuming that it is grounded.

However, it seems he might have another priority at hand here.
Perry considers the problem. An invisible enemy or one that seems to be moving too quickly to be caught. He then pulls out a sketch pad and draws a non-descript humanoid figure trapped under a net, or tied up with rope hanging upside down, or with a cage dropped on it. A trap might be their best option, some way of cornering and then entrapping the perpetrator.
He frowns and sighs, erasing it. He supposes first they have to un-invisible him first. How would they know they had caught anyone otherwise? Where's Doof's inators when you need them.
Perry then blinks and draws a new scene. This time it looks like a trap that involves a paint can. Maybe if it's invisible (and not time manipulation) they can drop paint on him to make him visible?
He looks to Eraqus on his thoughts about these ideas.]
no subject
Trap it? That would be the best idea, but without being able to see it coming, I'm not sure how to accomplish that. And there's no bait we could use. [He's definitely not putting a life at risk.]
