Weird question.

How do you decide on a name for something?

Are we talking pets or children or...? Because, I mean, pets could be named for what they're like! But... that same thing doesn't apply to children... You shouldn't name a baby "Snotty" even if that's what they are. [Right he should probably stop rambling.] So I guess there's different naming conventions depending on the situation.

Children is closer, I guess.

Ummm, well I guess it's customary to pull from heritage? [That's... sort of what he did with himself, he supposes.]

Usually I try to think of a few defining traits, or just play around until something fits.

That kind of helps, I guess.

As for names, it depends what you're naming, doesn't it? You could try naming things after your friends, but it still has to fit.

I really don't think that would work in this case.

If you have a favorite piece of literature, or any sort of story whether historical or fictional, choosing the name of a character you admire or appreciate is a possibility.
