11. [Video/Action]

[On the screen is a relatively new face. North has decided to check out Ponyville and this is the result. A purple unicorn with a green mane. He looks a little bewildered at the change, less because he's a unicorn and more because his AI is suddenly a baby dragon and that's really weird. Maybe a cause for concern. But he has bigger worries at the moment.]

Anyone want to explain what the trick to walking on all fours is? I don't think I've got the hang of it yet.

[OOC: This post has a variety of options. There's the video option, and several action options: You can mean North and Theta together and teach him to walk (A), Meet North on his own after he's mostly figured it out and had a chance to practice (B), or meet Theta on his own as North decided to rest a bit and ended up falling asleep and Theta wanted to play. [Emile seems to have forgone his pony armor for the moment to "blend in" a little more. Not that anyone with the shorn hair and copious scars is really fitting in, but he's giving it a shot.]

Hell, I never thought there was such a thing as a talking horse before I got here. But try sittin' down for a minute or two till you feel like you're balanced in your head. Then once you feel like it, get up and just stand for a while. Then think about movin.

And don't try a goddamn gallop.

[He'll probably try standing again in a bit. Right now he has a Theta leaning up against him and is reluctant to move. Also balance issues.]

Did you try galloping already?

Well, it's two extra legs to coordinate. I'm not exactly used to this.

But they will provide much more stability when you are standing. Honestly, I cannot see how you humans manage without even a tail to keep balance.

[It takes Wash a while to get used to the idea of being a pony and even longer to get the hang of walking. Running is still right out. Oddly enough, he's managed to perfect the art of bucking, namely because Melody and Fang have taken to riding around on his back with Melody complaining every time the ride was less than smooth. Every time she complains, he bucks her off. She's pretty well silent now, even when Wash stumbles.]

[It doesn't take him too long to find North, at least, and...is that dragon Theta? And almost more importantly:]

Wait, did you get magic here?

[Well, North's mostly okay with standing now, and has managed to walk without falling over while Theta's riding on him, so he considers that a success. Emile's advice was certainly help, though North won't deny he's tempted to try galloping, or at least trotting.]

We both turn into ponies, and that's the first question you ask?

[Still, he thinks about it.]

I don't actually know. I'm still working on walking.

No, that's the first question I'm asking you. [His first few questions had been incredibly profanity-laden.]

Option C for moar Xion and Theta interaction.

[Xion is walking fairly well now, but Lightning and Pooh are still keeping an eye on her. Still, at least being able to walk makes exploring possible. She'll need to get the hang of dealing with Nightmares while being a Pony, but practice should help with that.

So overall she's enjoying her exploration/recon when she comes across a baby dragon. Interesting--she hadn't known they had dragons here. At least it looked like it was just playing.]

[Not that she knew if it could talk, but she could always try.]

[The dragon at least has a familiar red and blue color scheme. He's never really had the opportunity to wander around on his own, much less walk on two feet. It's weird and he's not sure how he feels about that. He's sticking close to Tank as a result, while looking at the flowers. Maybe he'll bring one back to North.

He jumps when Xion speaks and hides behind Tank before looking out to see who it is.]

Uh...hi? Who are you?

[The color scheme is fairly familiar, but it's always good to check. Xion does recognize Tank, though, so that narrows the possibilities.

She's sorry for the obvious start she gives him, but the hiding and his voice at least confirm who she's talking to. She smiles, hoping that will put him at ease.]

Mmm, I can imagine. Even just knowing about worlds like this is different from actually ending up in one.

[Jaime had come through the portal to Ponyville alone, which was probably a good thing, because it took him a good long while to adjust walking in his new body. He's a good rider, but that didn't make having four legs any easier. At first, he thought that this world had somehow healed him, as he has all four hooves (a fact for which he is grateful, as a missing hoof would have made walking difficult). However, upon catching sight his reflection in a widow, he swore in a most un-Pony-like fashion. There's a broken horn protruding from his forehead.

He's unsuccessfully trying to move at something faster than a walk when he catches sight of North. There's something about North's colors that looks familiar...]

You seem to be doing well. And... is that baby dragon some new type of Spirit I've not heard of?

[North is feeling pretty good, having managed to master walking for the most part. It wasn't so bad, once he got used to it. Theta was doing his best to be encouraging.]

Took me a while to get the hang of it, but it's not so bad.

And nope, he's Theta. Kinda hard to explain here, but he's my AI, my partner.

The walking is getting easier, but...I'm finding that I miss having arms.

[Jaime shook his head to get his mane... hair... whatever it was... out of his eyes. He has an awful lot of hair now, and while he doesn't mind the color, he wishes it would stay out of his face.]

[He isn't sure what an AI is, but he grasps that Theta has a personality of his own.]

[York seems to be trying to figure out how to stay aloft. Mostly he seems to float a bit before hitting the ground again.]

Hey! Looks like you're doing pretty well. Think I'll work out the wings any time soon?

[York would get wings. North can only imagine the amount of trouble he's going to cause.]

It took less time than I thought. You kinda have to act on instinct I guess.

[He tilts his head, thinking.]

I think you need to flap more.

[Delta was interested in what kind of natural magic would keep a pony aloft, since it simply didn't make any sense that they could fly. Apparently the princesses were just different and therefore not notable in their ability to do so.]

[York shakes his head, focusing on North again.]

I'll have to try it sometime. Walking I've got a handle on, at least.
