Weird question.

How do you decide on a name for something?

If you have a favorite piece of literature, or any sort of story whether historical or fictional, choosing the name of a character you admire or appreciate is a possibility.

I haven't really gotten to read many stories, though.

[And he can't help wondering if the replica means 'none' when he says 'not many' in terms of stories.] Having a small selection to choose from doesn't mean you can't have a favorite. And I believe there are other books about some of the homes in Traverse Town and Twilight Town if you want to expand.

I suppose there is also the library in Ponyville...although that may not be the best fit, considering the pony culture seems to have very particular naming conventions.

Chiefly in that most ponies seem to have names that function as an adjective or verb pertaining to their strongest skill set, instead of what most consider "proper names."

I suppose if you feel set on something like that, there would be little to stop you. It could come off as awkward to most non-ponies. [Luck he would probably need.]
