11. [Video/Action]

[On the screen is a relatively new face. North has decided to check out Ponyville and this is the result. A purple unicorn with a green mane. He looks a little bewildered at the change, less because he's a unicorn and more because his AI is suddenly a baby dragon and that's really weird. Maybe a cause for concern. But he has bigger worries at the moment.]

Anyone want to explain what the trick to walking on all fours is? I don't think I've got the hang of it yet.

[OOC: This post has a variety of options. There's the video option, and several action options: You can mean North and Theta together and teach him to walk (A), Meet North on his own after he's mostly figured it out and had a chance to practice (B), or meet Theta on his own as North decided to rest a bit and ended up falling asleep and Theta wanted to play. I think I've got a handle on it, so do you need help? You can lean on me if you want.

Except for the others who are always ponies, yeah.

I'm doing okay; Lighting let me lean on her a little. Did you want to go exploring?

Sure! That sounds fun. I haven't seen too much of the place yet. Had to get used to walking first.

[He waits until Theta's climbed on before standing up, a lot more confident than when he started. The flower hasn't moved.]

Everyone probably will, unless they were ponies to start with.

[No convenient tutorial for it, either.]

We can take our time if we need to go slowly.

[Xion smiles at Theta once he's ready, and can't help the fact that her smile widens a bit when she notices the flower there. Hopefully North won't notice yet...]

It's fine, I think I got the hang of this walking thing.

What's with the smile?

[Oh, drat, he noticed.]

Ah, nothing. Exploring should be fun, right?

[She starts off in the direction of town.]

[brodakota]

[Confused but alright. He trots along behind her before catching up. Long legs and all that.]

Think they have ice cream here?

[Oh, good, she hadn't let too much on after all.]

I think so? The pink Pony seems to like sweets a lot...I think her name is Pinkie Pie?

[brodakota]

I don't think I've met her yet. I know the others though.

[skysmirror]

[It's difficult to go for too long without meeting the ponies.]

I think I've seen her on the network. They all seem friendly.

[brodakota]

Yeah, they are.

[He still thinks it's weird though. That feeling hasn't really gone away.]

And better friendly ponies than not, right?

[It's weird, but at least not a bad kind of weird. Xion's had enough of the other kind, but this is okay.]

Definitely.

[She smiles.]

Really, we're lucky that almost everyone is friendly.

Yeah, especially the Spartans that showed up. They're a lot nicer than I thought they'd be.

[For a given definition of nicer.]

[Xion's not much up on the reputation of Spartans in general. Now North's gotten her curious.]

What did you think they'd be like?

[brodakota]

I don't really know. They were kind of like mythical figures to me. I guess I didn't expect them to be approachable?

[skysmirror]

[Xion tilts her head in thought. Her experience is a little narrow to have anyone or anything seem mythical or legendary. Except for maybe Kingdom Hearts, but that's a different situation.]

So you never met one before they came here? They're from a long time before you?

[brodakota]

No, I hadn't. Considering what we fought compared them, we weren't even in the same league.

[He laughs.]

Well, yes and no. The ones here are from the same time as me, or around it anyway. They're just really powerful, like, one of them could take on a whole unit of Covenant and win. It would take a team of Freelancers to do something like that, and we probably wouldn't get out without some injury.

[skysmirror]

[Xions eyes widen.]

They're that strong?

[Good thing they're not enemies, then.]

That's even stronger than, than Aeleus.

[He's kind of her gauge for physical strength, okay?]

[brodakota]

Yeah, they are. Like I said, they're practically legends.

But the armour probably helps.

[skysmirror]

[Xion nods.]

Probably, but I don't know much about armor.

[brodakota]

Well, the thing about my armour, when I'm human, is that it's like a simpler version of theirs. I don't know much about the details, but I've heard rumours.

[skysmirror]

Does yours help your strength, then?

[It looked so heavy that Xion had thought it must do the opposite.]

[brodakota]

Yeah, a bit. I mean, if I have to hit someone, it's going to hurt a lot more than if I wasn't wearing armour, but I mostly have to rely on the shield enhancement and Theta.

Spartans don't need the enhancements and AI.

[skysmirror]

Oh, I see. So Theta helps with your armor, too?

They don't?

[Yeah, she's just going to be kind of wide-eyed impressed. That armor looks HEAVY, and to move around like that in it and do the things North says the Spartans can without any help...]

[brodakota]

Yeah. He's the guy who keeps everything running. Right Theta?

Yup

But yeah. Now you see why I think they're amazing.
