[There’s a brief moment of silence before this particular newcomer speaks up. Though he’s generally familiar with Traverse Town (and may be a familiar face to some of those already present), he takes a moment to carefully choose his words before he speaks. First impressions are important, after all, and more so in somewhere relatively unknown.]

I would be interested in knowing more about this realm. The moogles have already mentioned the Nightmares; is there anything else I should be aware of?

In addition, I would like to offer my services in dealing with the same, should anyone have need of such things.

[Dream Eaters or no, he knows better than to assume everyone is willing to get into combat, and if his strength can offer something of a shield, surely that’s better than nothing.]

[Lea bounces back at the other meow wow gleefully. New friends were always the best. Ienzo spares his dream eater a glance before smiling faintly up at Aeleus.]

It has been strange to be without you, but I'm confident that I carried myself well.

[He frowns.]

Even won't listen to me, even when he's being foolish.

[Always the best indeed, even if Aeleus' own Meow Wow hasn't had much time to make many friends yet.]

I'm glad to hear that.

[The... part about carrying himself well, that is. The rest is somewhat less good news, if not unsurprising.]

I'm sure you did your best, under the circumstances.

I did attempt to make him see reason.

[Ienzo pauses; it's just...such a huge relief to see Aeleus. Not that he hasn't managed well on his own, he has, and he's got a very nice place to live and a business of his own.]

I am actually running a tea shop, somehow.

I'm afraid that's all anyone can do.

[Still, now that he's around, he can take over on the keeping-an-eye-on-Even front. The mention of the tea shop, in the meantime, gets a look a mild surprise.]

I'll have to check it out.

You'll be living above it, so I don't doubt that you'll see it sooner rather than later.

[Ienzo is starting to become rather put out. If Aeleus were going to be here, he could have been here sooner. Not that Ienzo isn't fully aware that it wasn't under Aeleus' power, but still.]

[There's a moment of silence before he speaks again, one that is less contemplative than it is scrutinizing (albeit gently so).]

I do apologize for not being here sooner.

[Ienzo laces his fingers together and looks down for a moment, then looks back up to Aeleus.]

You are here now. That's sufficient.

[There's something like a sigh of relief from Aeleus at Ienzo's words. He might not have expected anything different, but it's good to hear all the same.]

I'm glad. Regardless, the fact remains that I was absent, and shouldn't have been.

There isn't anything very dangerous here at the moment, unless you consider that Riku understandably dislikes us and doesn't trust us.

[Which is somewhat like an answer, but more of an evasion.]

Perhaps I can show you to our home?

[Having already spoken to Riku, Aeleus is already well aware that he seems to distrust all of them. He's simply not addressing beyond being aware of it until it proves to be necessary to do so.]

I believe I would like that.

It's a bit of a walk from here; I'm afraid that some of the areas we'll have to traverse are quite full of nightmares.

[It will be much easier with the two of them, though Ienzo is somewhat disinclined to reveal how well they fight together. ...it is just so comforting to know Aeleus is here now.]

[To be honest, he doesn't need to. Not to Aeleus, anyway. He's already well aware of how the pair of them compensate for the other's weaknesses and thus end up making a surprisingly effective team.]

I'd been meaning to see what they were like.

[Combat experience is sometimes the best experience and he's fairly certain they won't pose much of a problem between the two of them.]

They're a nuisance. I haven't noticed any larger ones, but I don't doubt that they exist; they just don't happen to be here. Thus far no one has been able to determine the nature of this place. Some time back we received a cryptic message - you can view it on your communicator at some point. There hasn't been any indication of what's going on otherwise - none of the other denizens seem to know.

[That's a fair summation, anyway, for the moment.]

Similar to the Heartless then. If that's the case, then it's possible the larger varieties aren't native to this world. As to the nature of this place, I'd assumed it to be more or less as the moogles had implied. A realm of dreams.

[True, he's working with limited information, but given how recently he's arrived it's probably to be expected. He does, however, make a note to look into this cryptic message at the soonest opportunity.]

[Ienzo walks in silence for a few moments. It feels right to be here, with Aeleus, just walking and talking. He can't quite tell what the feeling is...relief, obviously, it would have to be, but he doesn't want to think too hard about it, because then the tears start to well up. Ienzo swipes at his face; he has better control than that. He used to, anyway.]

It...does seem to be.

[It would be understandable if his control is less than perfect as things stand. They've only just been returned to their hearts, so surely matter will be unsettled. That said, he does notice the way Ienzo swipes at his face, and for a moment he stops.]

Is everything alright?

You died. You left me alone, and then before I could get used to being home, I was transported here and you were gone again.

[Ienzo can't stop the tears now and they're in public and someone might see, and he can't afford that. It's not that it was Aeleus' fault; obviously he wouldn't have chosen to be separated from Ienzo again. But Aeleus was his rock; he could manage without him, but he wasn't even sure what he should or shouldn't be doing or thinking, and he certainly won't take guidance from strangers and...Aeleus had been gone. And he didn't like that. It hurt.]

I'm sorry. It's foolish to complain.

[Ah. He'd wondered if that may have been lingering on Ienzo's mind. It's unfortunate, yes, but given he'd never intended to do and had it's understandable and he's still not all certain what happened in aftermath of his death. He doesn't expect it to be pleasant, but that's all he has.

It's irrelevant anyway just at the moment. He knows Ienzo well enough to know that this is anywhere but where he'd want to let those tears fall, not that he blames him. There's still the risk of being seen, and so he gently reaches down and carefully dries away Ienzo's tears. His gloves may end up a little tear-stained, but it's not the worst they've been stained by.]

No, you have every right to. I should never have left you alone as I did, and for that, I'm sorry.

I know it's not the choice you would have elected to make.

[Ienzo starts a bit when Aeleus touches him; people's touching him isn't something he's particularly used to, though it's different, with Aeleus. His shoulders hunch up a bit, but he doesn't protest or try to push Aeleus away.

It was an error in judgment that got Aeleus killed. One of many, many errors in judgment that they had made over the years.]

[It was. Though the fight had seemed perfectly logical at the time, there had been more than one thing that had been out of their hands. If he'd only had a moment more... maybe he could have returned to Zexion. Maybe he could have found a way to neutralize Riku's passenger. There were so many possibilities and they'd all turned to dust in a handful of seconds.

To have unintentionally left Ienzo alone a second time only made things worse.]

It wasn't. But is that enough?

[Ienzo presses a hand to his chest over his heart. He'd thought that he'd be fine. He knows in his head that things are better now, and there's nothing to do but move on. He just can't quite bring himself to feel it.]

I don't know.

[It'll be hard, that much Aeleus knows and he rests a gentle hand of Ienzo's shoulder. Though this is perhaps not the best place for such displays - or at least not the sort place Ienzo might prefer - he feels he has to do something.]

We can figure it out together.

[Ienzo ducks his head; he's crying again, damn his heart. Aeleus is here, he should be feeling happy, not so completely crushed. He shifts closer to Aeleus, hovering just short of leaning against him.]

Alright.

[Ienzo takes in a shaky breath.]

Let's...just continue on to the apartment.

Lead the way.

[He's aware that the tears are back, and it pains him to not stop and see what he can do about things. But if he keeps stop they'll never get there either. So he consoles himself with the fact that hopefully he'll be able to make things better when they get there.

In the meantime, he settles for hovering protectively next to (and perhaps just slightly ahead of) Ienzo.]

[It's almost a relief that they don't run into too many dream eaters, and then of course the fourth district is fairly clear of them entirely. It means that they get to the shop rather quickly, and Ienzo can head inside and lock up properly. He's managed to stop crying for the moment at least, and he counts that as a blessing.]

Oh...yes, this is the tea shop. Namine has a dream eater painting studio here as well.
