Physics... How Do They Work? - 002 [audio]
[The quick, light breaths coming from the audio indicate that the person speaking is performing some form of physical exertion.]
My apologies for any brusqueness, but I require the assistance of a healer immediately. I have just witnessed a person leaping from the edge of the tower in the Fourth District of Traverse Town. I do not know if they could have survived a fall from such a height, but if they have, I suspect my own first aid knowledge and potion will be insufficient to provide adequate care for such traumatic injuries. I am making all due haste to the area at this moment. Thank you for your attention.

[Jeeves' experience with suicide among his fellow soldiers is, thankfully, limited. There are also some less grave alternatives.]
They may have thought they could escape the realm of dreams by dying.
[Which is something Jeeves has been contemplating since arrival, but he's not keen to test the hypothesis. Particularly when repeatability is an issue.]

While I am certain an analysis of the available routes would doubtlessly prove you right, miss, a swift drop and a short stop are rarely conducive to carrying on activities after.

[He means this honestly, but it's half a question. Because that's incredibly disconcerting if that's what she's driving at.]

Threadjack whee
...that's normal where you're from, isn't it.
[You keypeople are so goddamn weird.]
*adds to the threadjacking* >_> [audio]
[Despite the nature of his comment, he does sound a bit perplexed.]

Some of the humans can fly...or glide, at least. Didst thou see what they looked like?

I am nearly to the site of the fall, Your Highness. All I could see was a shock of silver hair from the person jumping. I was not in the Fourth District. They lacked any form of wings or aerial aids from what I could see, though. I am uncertain how they might have managed any form of flight without these.

We have had several humans with silver hair, but I believe they have all wakened...I shall come to investigate, I believe.

I pray you are correct, madam. I will see you presently.

Crack! A flash of blue light and hello, friend, she is here! She knows pretty much all of Twilight Town well enough to teleport through it by now.]

[Edge doesn't distinguish between jumping and falling, unlike some of the others, because he once fell pretty much the entire height of the Tower of Babil, which stretches from the the Underworld to far, far above the Overworld, and the biggest problem after that was how to get out again.]
[audio]
On my world, sir, falling from such a height would leave the person dead or grievously injured. Princess Luna and I have encountered the gentleman who jumped now, though. He appears to be unharmed.
Please forgive my initial alarm. As with Agent Washington, I was unaware that the fundamental laws of physics as I understand them do not apply to certain persons.

[People do seem to be from... different times based on what he's seen in the archives.]

You'll forgive me my ignorance, I hope, but do you mean to say that your world is called Eblan or that the village or town in which you reside has this title?
