10. [text/video]
If anyone's having any trouble with the latest round of dreams, I can help. Or at least listen if you want.
I figure I owe you guys since I got helped last time.
[A little while later, the video's on and there's a variety of holograms appearing. Some fireworks, a few dream eaters, a moogle. All a familiar red and blue colour. Theta's trying his best to cheer people up.]
[ooc: timing for this is nebulous and can easily become action if that's what you want. Just let me know the subject line or somewhere how you want to do this.]

(Video; at least for now)
Hey. You are pretty good at that.
(Video; at least for now)
I've had a lot of practice.
(Video; at least for now)
I am assuming you are not having as bad of dreams as most, yes?
(Video; switched to private)
Nothing I can't handle, though it's making me realize that I fought a lot more with my sister than I thought.
[Granted she started most of them.]
I'm going to guess you haven't been as lucky.

[Wash doesn't actually look like death warmed over - at least, not more so than he usually does. The dreams aren't great, but they're nothing he can't handle.]

[Mostly dreams about fights with South, and past combat scenarios.]
What about you? How are you doing?
[And you're getting the look that suggests that he won't take "fine" as an answer.]

[He relives that last battle with Tex and the Meta every night, waking up at the point in the fight when he lost consciousness. It's not fun, but it could definitely be worse.]
I'm okay. It's better than it could have been.

That's good to hear. Guess we both got lucky.

Let's just say I found out I was wrong when I figured the dreams wouldn't be an issue.
[private]
Yeah, we got lucky this time around.
Are you dreaming now?
[private]
I don't want to remember all these things, damn it. And I physically can't avoid them. I just wait, knowing it's going to happen. Trying to delay that would potentially ruin this body. And I can't afford that.

He misses the text, since he has his back to the communicator wherever it's sitting and he's a little busy. But he sees the video of the holograms when he turns around.]
Hey, those are neat.
[And now that he's turned around, we can see that he's making rice balls. He finishes shaping the one in his hands and places it on a tray containing a couple more before turning back to start on another one. With no good camera view, there's not really a way to know what he's filling them with, but his housemates might be the only ones that need to worry about that...]

Re: [Video]
[It's also nice to know that even if everyone's a little crabby due to lack of sleep, they're generally still trying to help each other out.]

Voice;
York warned me they could be fairly intense.
Are they often trouble? [Enough that someone would need help, at least.]
Voice;
Sometimes the dreams bring up bad memories and make it hard to sleep.
[He speaks from personal experience.]

Doesn't sound like something to look forward to.
And they end with a keyhole, right? [She thinks hers did..]

[Action] One Week Later
It had been fine, then. She'd dealt with it.
Now?
The dreams had teetered before. Toed the line she'd firmly held against, the glow of a keyhole boring a hole in the back of her mind's eye. But with FILSS' 'awakening' (if your wanted to call it that), things had careered directly from distant memory into unwanted rememberance.
Now it wasn't so fine. Now Carolina wasn't dealing well at all.
There was a sharp knock on North's door, before Carolina stood back two steps and waited. Her hands fell to her sides, closing into fists, only to open and repeat the gesture. At her feet, the pink Frootz cat purred in concern, nudging her Person's ankle. ]
[Action]
He sits on the side of his bed, rubbing at his eyes for a moment before pushing himself up. Cactus doesn't really move from where he was sleeping, but his tail twitches in annoyance.
North isn't entirely surprised to see Carolina at the door, and it helps him snap into wakefulness.]
Carolina? Is everything alright?
[Action]
Even in the hallway's awkward light, a good look at Carolina showed a stark difference to the woman who'd been cajoled into attending the party and the wearier and far older one who's shoulders remain almost stubbornly squared.
A flat look answered North's question, edging on hostile thanks to the dark rings shadowing green eyes. Would she even be here if everything was alright? ]
..No.
Is now a bad time.
