[Seems someone's made her way over to the new world. With all the trepidation about it and the general feeling of unease that it exudes, Asami's being careful - both her Spirits are poking around in the background, although her pair are more behaved than the majority of the ones she's met. She's looking around with a focused expression; clearly, she's on a mission.]

Considering how many of you guys from this world use guns, where do you get them here?

[Damn right she wants one. Two, actually - one to take apart, one to use.]

There's an arms locker, but that would depend. Do you know how to use one?

[North isn't just about to go handing out guns willy-nilly. That...just strikes him as a bad idea. Never mind the limited ammunition.]

Not yet, but I'm a fast learner.

[North considers this for a moment.]

I'm gonna guess you need a weapon, if you're asking.

How old are you, anyway?

[motorvation]

I've got one, but it's only good for short-range fighting and I could use another that's got more range. [She's learned the hard way, okay?]

Seventeen.

[brodakota]

[North ponders both of these for a moment, before finally relenting.]

Alright, sounds like you'll be responsible with it. I'll show you where they are.

[motorvation]

[Oh North, one day you'll learn just how responsible she can be with a weapon. But for now Asami just nods at his go-ahead.]

I'll wait for you here - whatever's lurking around here, I don't want to take it on by myself.

[brodakota]

I'll be right there, then. I assume you're on the bridge.

[motorvation]

[She turns the communicator around to show her position; there are no Nightmares in the room, but it sure looks like a control center.]

If this is what you call the bridge, then I am. I'll keep an eye out for you.

[brodakota]

Yup, that's the bridge alright. I'll be there shortly.

[True to his word, North appears in a few minutes. Slightly out of breath. Stupid nightmares.]

Hey. You the one looking for a gun?

[motorvation]

[She turns to face the new arrival with a smile; she'll also resist making a comment about how he could miss the fact that she has all that hair when no one else does. Let's be professional, okay?]

Asami Sato. I take it this place is your home? And what should I call you?

[brodakota]

[It was simply a formality. He figured he should double check.]

Yeah, this is the place. You can call me North. Most people do.

[motorvation]

[No harm in double checking, after all. And she nods at the name.]

All right, North. So where are we going to find a firearm?

[brodakota]

Weapons locker, but it's a bit of a ways from here.

You have a way to fight through nightmares, right?

Guns are overrated. I think you've got a more dangerous weapon in all that beauty you're carrying around!

[-Well this isn't something she's had to deal with in awhile, and Asami blinks. She's used to people thinking she's pretty, but using it as a weapon? That's just completely impractical.]

How's that supposed to help me fight around here?

Well, I sure couldn't fight you. I'd surrender before I could even get my swords out.

[motorvation]

[Mmmmm-hmmmmmmmmmmmm. That sounds ...suspiciously like a load of bollocks if she ever heard one, and Asami crosses her arms over her chest.]

So you wouldn't fight me because I'm a girl? Do you think girls aren't capable of fighting?

[Really she gets more upset about that idea than about people thinking she in specific can't take care of herself, because it's kind of fun to see them gawk when she proves them horribly wrong. But since the vast majority of her world hasn't believed in that crap for a long time it's a very dumb attitude to her.]

[Edge's Earth is... like that. He's used to girls in the backlines as casters. He could use the awakening.]

[That gets an eyebrow-raise. She hasn't heard that specific term for magic before, but she can guess what it is easily enough.]

Not chocobos. [Whatever those were.] Satomobiles.

Hand-to-hand. My father wanted to be sure I could take care of myself, and I didn't waste the opportunity.

[Her next statement has him all the more puzzled.]

Things must be different on your world. I've met a Monk of Fabul or two and I'm pretty certain they have a vow against not being attractive in any way.

Machines like carriages but with an engine on them, for carrying around people and items. Dad invented them, I'm- I was one of the test drivers, but now I'm taking over the business.

[Hello lineface. She is so not impressed with your statements, Edge.] It sounds like you're saying that anyone who is attractive shouldn't be able to take care of themselves, and that if you can you can't be attractive. How can you even think like that?
