[A new woman's face make an appearance on the communicator. She is sitting at a cafe in Traverse Town's first district with it propped up against something on the table. She seems fairly comfortable with using it. Her dark hair falls over her shoulders and she brushes it back without thought. A cup of tea can be seen sitting in front of her and she sits before it with an elegant grace about her. She is in fashionable civilian clothes and she offers the broadcast a warm, if small, smile.]

Hello. My name is Setsuna Meioh. I've been filled in on what I believe are the basics of this place and what has been going on. Or at least that this is a very elaborate dream world. I'm afraid the Moogle could not give me much information on who was here or who would be a good person to speak with about the current problems that result in people being pulled into dreams that are not there own. Or why they are being attacked in them for that matter.

[She sighs, letting it turn into an action that cools her tea. She raises the cup to her lips, sips, and then sets it back down, she looks down at the tea with a pensive expression.]

I thought I was done worrying about being attacked in my dreams. I suppose my prediction that the peace would not last was accurate.

[She looks up. Trying to appear cool, calm, and collected. It's fairly successful except for the tiny bit of worry in her eyes.]

I'll be at this outdoors cafe if you would like to meet in person. I do prefer speaking that way over communication devices like this...but I can understand if you are shy to meet me. I only wish to have more information.

[The feed will end there. If persons are in the First District of Traverse Town feel free to sit and join her. The bag the moogle gave her rests on the table and obviously she hasn't made her Dream Eater yet. Perhaps you would like to give her some advice]

True enough. I was just hoping we would have a longer reprieve...

[She considers how best to answer this. It's not that she wants to hide information, it's just difficult to explain without getting into long, complicated stories.]

Yes, it was the most recent enemy trying to enslave the earth. They were doing so through people's dreams, but had other means of invasion as well. Their ultimate goal was to destroy our princess and her line...but we managed to stop them in the end.

Well. As you are the only one so far from your world to speak of similar experiences, it's likely that your friends back home still have that reprieve, even if you do not. By all accounts so far from the few who have left here only to return later, time back home seems unaffected by any length spent in this place.

That seems a popular world name. Yours would be the first with a monarchy in charge, though.

[ Not that Lin disapproves. The Earth Kingdom is ruled by a Queen at the moment, after all. ]

How strange. Although, I suppose in some ways it makes sense. Time spent in dreams always appears longer than what it actually is...

[Setsuna imagines there may be other factors involved as well. She would need to study the phenomenon more closely however and with more than just what people told her. She doubted she had the equipment for it.]

Yes...although to tell the truth, she has not taken the throne yet. It is not quite her time.

And those brought here may be of the same world but different times entirely. [She speaks from experience on that score.] But I'm afraid we've yet to learn what makes us so interesting to those responsible for our being here.

[Not her time?] Heir who's not of age yet, I take it?

So there is evidence that someone or something is responsible for our being here? That it is not just random?

[It's a troubling idea. On top of the evidence of time manipulation. She won't be able to really fix that though unless she finds out more about the cause and source behind it.]

[Really too complicated to get in to. But it certainly wasn't a lie given that Usagi DID need to get older before she could rule Neo Tokyo.]

Yes. [grimly] At least, those are the implications of an apparent third party observing all this. [She gestures slightly, indicating the communicator] All past communications on the network can be viewed, including the two encounters with the unknown individual.

The Moogles get quite distressed about the fact they don't know how someone's accessed their network externally. [Which is mildly funny to watch, even if it doesn't lessen the frustration of the situation]

[ 'Something like that'? An eyebrow arched slightly, but no additional questions followed. Yet. ]

I will take the time later to review these prior encounters then. It sounds like it would be helpful to look into.

[She was used to research, so it wouldn't be hard and it sounded like she would have some free time in this dream world to do so.]

By all means. The archives on these devices do not appear to remove the entries of those who've since managed to wake up from this sleep trap, so don't be surprised if you see a few things from people who you aren't likely to meet now.

So people have come and gone from this dream? I suppose I really do need to check back then and see if anyone I know has been here in the past.

They have. Those few who've returned have said time doesn't appear to move where they are from when they are gone, but time can move forward several months at least before they reappear here. As yet, we've not found any leads as to what allows them to escape - or forces them to return.

[ A sigh. ]
