Technology is Fun - 001 [Audio]
Good day, my name is Jeeves. I am given to understand this device has some extraordinary broadcasting ability akin to a radio or television, but with multi-way communicative properties. I have been here only a short time and require some assistance, for which I will gladly work in trade.
I have created one of the creatures known as a spirit. I have been led to believe that the animal serves some useful function as protection in this realm against nightmares of a similar build, but alternate coloration. The Komory Bat now in my possession defies all training and disciplinary methods with which I am familiar for service animals. I would deeply appreciate some instruction on their care and control. It has taken to fluttering around me in a highly distracting way. Thank you.
I have also been informed this device has some archival function. If it may be accessed readily, I should like to know how.

[She is a useful and polite contact willing to adjust to satisfy his own sensibilities. He'll keep her for the time being, and open flattery should do well to please her. He had noted her smile at his more brusque compliment.]
How long have you been in this realm, miss, if it is not too bold to ask?
[visual]
Oh, it's no problem, most everyone tries to help people who have just arrived.
[Flattery will get him no more information that she would give to any other new arrival, but is that a hint of what Jeeves might call a ladylike blush on her cheeks?]
I've been here since we all started arriving--some months. Maybe around a year?
[She doesn't keep count of days, but she can make an educated guess.]
[visual]
[Jeeves keeps his features only mildly curious as he has a minor internal breakdown. A year in this place may drive him mad. And while Mr. Wooster will not miss his absence the reverse is almost certainly not true. Jeeves enjoys his travel and fishing holidays, but he always has a set date for return, the trips are taken at his own pleasure and ended when he wishes them to end. Here, he has no control in this matter. It is frustrating, to say the least, and beyond disturbing. These thoughts and their implications occur in the space of a few seconds before Jeeves drews himself together enough to continue.]
You have maintained a genial disposition most admirably over an extended sojourn in such a dangerous place. And I am certain you and your comrades have made great progress in that time. [No, actually, he isn't, but it doesn't bear saying.] I hope I might be able to assist in speeding the process for a return to our native realms. I am given to understand from Her Royal Highness, Princess Luna that the current efforts of the individuals here have focused on finding and returning her world's Elements of Harmony. Have you been involved in this endeavor at all, miss?
[visual]
[Funny to think that she may have spent half her existence here. Considering that it's not that much of a change from her life before, she's had an easier time adjusting. Not that she isn't eager to get back.]
Oh, thank you! We haven't been able to make a lot of progress, since clues are difficult to find, but we've made some. Most everyone helps. I don't explore as much as some of the others, but I did manage to draw a picture of the Elements of Harmony so everyone could have an idea of what we're looking for.
[Give her a moment, she'll find that post, too.]
[visual]
They are most interesting in design, akin to Her Royal Highness' breastplate, if smaller.
[He much prefers Luna's breastplate to these, though. The jewels are gaudy in his estimation. Though, perhaps, they would look pleasing enough on a woman.]
I will keep a weather eye out for their appearance. Is there any other information you think might be helpful to one just beginning in this place, miss? You have already been most helpful and Detective Shirogane described the full range of functions this communications device possesses. I feel as though there is simply a great deal of reading and review ahead to make sense of this place. If, indeed, any sense can be made of dreams.
[visual]
I guess for ponies the two things are fairly similar.
[Namine likes them both, for different reasons. She likes all the colors in the necklaces for the Elements, but the simplicity of Luna's breastplate is also nice.
She does a quick check of what others have said before replying to his question.]
Thank you. I think the others have mentioned most everything. The tea shop is in the Fourth District if you'd like to come by. I help out there, and paint Dream Eaters.
[visual]
May I inquire as to the fees for your painting services, Ms. Namine? I should very much like to have my spirit- [altered to something less disturbing] -colored in some other fashion.
[visual]
It depends on how much you want painted. For all different colors it's 60 munny, less if you only want part of him painted. Some of the others give me dream pieces instead of money, too.
[visual]
I will see to collecting the required funds, in any case. I look forward to meeting you in person then.
[visual]
[It wouldn't due to mix them up, after all.]
One color for the whole Spirit is 45 munny.
I'll look forward to meeting you, too. Even before you get him painted, you're welcome to come to the tea shop.
[visual]
I shall mark it as a destination not to be missed in my survey of the town, Ms. Namine. Good day.
[visual]
Good day.
[He's quite formal; good thing Ienzo made sure she knew her manners.]
