[The video comes at an odd angle, all wild waves of vivid green hair, occasionally rocking nauseously to reveal pale, creamy skin and the flash of dark blue eyes or part of a nervous but friendly smile -- much like the voice that comes over the airwaves.]

I've... never used something like this before, so I hope it's working! [Her laugh comes soft, chiming a few times before dissipating. The screen shakes and a slender hand comes into view, gesturing as she speaks. Slowly her appearance becomes a little more visible; a sideways angle of about two-thirds of her face comes into focus. Though the angle is odd, it's clear that she is an attractive woman and while uncomfortable, she radiates warmth.]

I'm not really sure where I'm going with all of this, I hadn't had much of a plan in mind when I started. [Another soft laugh that implies she's lost in more than one sense of the word. It doesn't reach her eyes, nor does the smile any longer.]

I do have a question, though, if no one minds it. What now?

It's good to meet you, Nepeta! [ She makes no indication that she thinks it was a cat pun. Clearly, it must just be an accent! ] Have you been here very long?

[ She's gauging a time frame from everyone -- or trying to, at least. Consensus seems to be a few months, aside from the princess. ]

A little meowre than a sw-- [wait, that's not the right marker of time] --than a few months.

[sylvan]

That's quite a bit of time. [ She seems so young. But that might not be the case and she knows that if it were her and she were young, she wouldn't want anyone underestimating her. ]

Are you getting on well, then, Nepeta? [ Which is her way of saying "are you safe/are you lonely/are you okay/do you need help" so on and so forth, into the friendly concern oblivion. ]

[She is young, both by Alternian standards and humans. But not so young that she can't defend herself. Still, there's a nod at Rydia's question.]

Mmmhm. It's not so bad out here.

[sylvan]

[ Palom and Porom were five. She was eight when she joined with Cecil. She certainly doesn't underestimate children, but that doesn't mean she's lacking in concern! ]

No, it seems really interesting! [ It's really no different in terms of danger than home. She's pretty used to that sort of thing. Although she's used to monsters not often making it into towns... ] I'm still feeling a little lost, but it's kind of nice to be given a Dream Eater friend and the ability to converse over this thing.

[whoseesbynight]

[Nepeta nods at that.]

It is, and with the Dream Eaters you nefur have to be lonely, even.

[sylvan]

It's nice. [ She says it a little wistfully. It's part of why she loved her Eidolons so. She was never alone, she never had to worry about them dying. They would never leave her. ] What kind do you have?

[The viewpoint of the camera shifts a little to catch a view of her Komory Bat.]

[sylvan]

[ She thinks it is really cute. Then again, of the ones she's seen so far, all of them have been pretty adorable! Rydia smiles crossing her arms behind her back. ]

Does it have a name?

[whoseesbynight]

Not yet. I haven't figured out what would be meowst apurropriate.

[sylvan]

Me, either. I've got an idea or two, though!

[ Okay, that time? She got it. What a cute pun! ]

[She's always willing to take suggestions, after all.]

I was going to name mine Von Meower, er. Muir.

[ She's got her doing it, now! ]

I miss him. I think he... hm. I'm not sure how much he'd appreciate it, but I think he'd understand the feelings behind it.

[ She looks down at the Meow Wow, her hands on her hips. ]

So, Von Muir, it is! How do you like that! [ It just seems to be happy she's acknowledging it in general. No problem there, right? ]

I think he likes it.

[sylvan]

I hope so! We can change it, though, if he doesn't.

[whoseesbynight]

Of course. But you should give him at least a little time to get used to it.

[sylvan]

Absolutely. It wouldn't be very fair of me, if I didn't. We're both going to have to adjust some.

Exactly. And maybe someone will find out how to wake efurryone up.

Although I wonder how that works? Does no one notice that we're asleep back home?
