[York's image comes up on the communicator, and even with armor on he looks fairly confused. He's sitting in the hotel, and Sparky's in his usual position on top of York's head.]

Okay, so I know I've been kind of distracted most of this week, but what the heck happened on the Mother of Invention? Is everyone okay?

[At that name though, Fluffy's ears perk up. He knows that name. That's the kinda-blue-colored armored lady's name! The one they found when their person was gone. He's now landed on Ziva's shoulder and is looking at the screen himself. She doesn't know her, but we do!]

Yeah, she got here just recently. You two will have to meet up; I think you'll get along.

[Sparky chirps back at Fluffy. She's really strong and Dax is nice too.]

Apparently your old home brought something other than dream eaters with it. Unfortunately, no one's been able to see it yet, but it's made its presence known.

Luna and I didn't see anything while we were there; is it not attacking people in groups or what?

You're both pretty take-charge type people. She'll be a good third for hand-to-hand practice, too.

[Sparky chatters back. She's got one now! They're gonna be a great team, too.]

[York would be completely distracted by Carolina's arrival. Then again, Wash isn't exactly one to talk, given the way he'd been acting when Ziva returned.]

If you see her, tell her she needs to make nice with the Moogles. They're taking whatever she did out on us.

[Hey, it's kind of traumatic to see the old place again. York's past it, but he's not really big on heading over there now either.]

There's tech that'll let someone hide their presence; maybe we've got a new resident who doesn't trust the rest of us.

[York doesn't think he likes the sound of that, but he can't think of what the moogles could be doing to them.]

[He's not whining; he's just pissed. Of all the dumbfuck irritating things to happen, it had to be this.]

Oh, so we can take turns kicking your ass then? [She had to, even if they have about a 50/50 win-loss ratio going.] You know, it has been a while. [Especially for her...] Once things are settled with all the craziness going on, we should pick that up again.

[Fluffy's happy now. Oh good! Not that she seemed to need one, but it would help.]

[ A literal knock, that is: there's a tap on the door to Wash and York's room, followed by the 'bonk' of a dream eater who walked into it instead of waiting for the door to be opened.

Not that Carolina is inclined to barge in, regardless of whether the door is locked or not. Her manners might be a little rusty at times, but she's not that far gone. ]

I'm sure they'll calm down about it sooner or later. We can try to talk with them.

[York heads over and opens up the door.]

Hey! I'm just trying to catch up on current events here.

[ Her eyes narrow at that. ]

Well, that'd be one very unwelcoming resident. It took out Sora on our scouting trip, and attacked both myself and Stark. [Guess who's not happy about that.] I also hear it hurt one of the other kids.

I've not heard about any other victims as of late, but if its tech from your world, how much trouble should we be expecting?

Hey, I'm holding my own. [He's missed sparring with her, actually] Besides, different techniques, different opponents... [he's going to end up chased around the struggle arena by them both, isn't he.]

[Sparky nods. Everything's better with a team. Like us and our people!]

[ Dax promptly barrels in; he has three icecream shaped cookies in his maw, and there's a brief dirty look for Carolina as he glances back at his person. He does pause to bump York's knee in greeting as he passes, however.

Carolina doesn't deign to notice someone's sulking. ]

Oh? Anything in particular been happening?

[ If his communicator's still active open, she might try and peer at (read: interrupt) a conversation. Or three. ]

Yeah, most of the time. [The smirk on her face shows that she's just kidding. You were on the list of people she missed, York.] True. A learning experience for all. [Probably. Both of them armed with Struggle Bats, even.]

[Yes! I'm glad she found one. Know if that one Moogle ever showed up again? He thinks one was hiding from her.]
