Jail Break! (Action/Video)

[So, with Ziva gone, Fluffy and Abby have been in Wash's care. But, that doesn't mean the behave. They break out at least once a day to try to find Ziva. Why no, she totally didn't teach them how to pick locks. This time is slightly different though.

They brought Ziva's comm with them.

It's currently in Fluffy's possession, and he's in flight somewhere in Traverse Town. Every once in a while, Abby can be seen on the ground in the lens of the comm. They're talking back and forth to each other, mostly Where haven't we looked? and Hey! Over there!.

Then, there's the sound of gunfire off in the distance. Their person had a gun! And it sounded kind of like that sometimes. So, immediate direction change and off they go that way. The comm is tossed down to Abby and she catches it as he lands on her head, taking a break from flying for a moment.

The camera shows a glimpse of someone, in armor...some not-so-blue shade of blue, but not enough to show who it may be. Just...it's not who they were looking for.]

You'd think there'd be more people, given the size of the place.

[brodakota]

No kidding. I've heard from people who've been here before in the waking world, that there are, but I guess they didn't get dragged here like the rest of us.

[guerriera]

Not exactly a good sign, then.

[ The question "Why Us?" definitely springs to mind. ]

I know the hotel is in the 2nd district. Anything significant in one of the others?

[brodakota]

Not really. The other districts are pretty similar, with a lot of empty shops and stuff. They're fun to explore though.

The fifth district has a greenhouse, but a giant monkey also appeared there so I don't know what it's status is.

[That was said entirely with a straight face. Not that one can tell]

[guerriera]

[ The thought of exploring the city at its emptiest is briefly entertained. The thought of exploration for fun...Well, that hasn't happened in a very long time.

Her head definitely snaps to him with a very audible "..." at the mention of a giant monkey, though. Had she not met a flying unicorn princess, as well as all of these colourful critters, that might have been less believable. ]

A giant monkey.

[ ..Still questionable, though. ]

[brodakota]

I didn't see it, but Wash did apparently. You can ask him.

[He always manages to miss the giant nightmares.]

[guerriera]

[ Ask Wash if he'd seen a giant money monster in a greenhouse.

The man had had enough mental issues before disguising himself amongst the sim-soldiers or ending up here, Carolina wasn't sure she needed to add to that. (Or maybe she did. It'd depend on her mood later.) ]

..I'll think about it.

Certainly sounds lively, for an empty town.

[brodakota]

It is. The people here are good at making things loud, I've found. Some more than others.

[guerriera]

Hmmm. Anyone I should keep an eye out for?

[brodakota]

Not that I can think of off the top of my head. I haven't met anyone who didn't seem at least a little bit trustworthy.

[guerriera]

[ There's a faint huff of breath, her head shaking slightly.

Oh North. No one is trustworthy, except possibly you. ]

In that case, anyone I should know on sight that's worth knowing?

[brodakota]

[And this is why North wins Friendliest Freelancer.]

Well, there's Sora. He's been here before and seems to know the most about how places like this work. He's kind of short and has spikey brown hair.

Ienzo knows a lot to. He's a bit taller with silvery hair.

They're probably the two I know with the most information at least.

[guerriera]

[ You're a good person and people say nice things about you. ]

Ienzo and Sora. Got it.

[ How quick she'll be to follow up on that remains to be seen, but at least she has two leads now. ]

Wait -- he's been here before? [Sora, obviously] Shouldn't he know a way out, then?

[brodakota]

Yeah, that's the weird part. Apparently it's working differently than the last time.

[guerriera]

[ The fact there was a first time doesn't concern anybody? ]

Why do I get the feeling there's a story behind that I'm not going to like.

[brodakota]

It does seem pretty weird, but from what I can gather, stuff like this is pretty par for the course in this world.

I guess the last time Sora was here, it didn't involve people like us showing up.

[guerriera]

I don't think that's a world I'd want to live in.

[ It might suit those sim soldiers just fine, however. Especially that one blue. The one that wasn't an outright pervert.

The doors to the 1st District are easy to recognise, and she regards the size of them with distant curiousity, before looking to North. ]

Where to from here?

[brodakota]

From what I've heard, it sounds pretty confusing.

[He points at the doors.]

It's this way. You can get to the second district from the first one.

[guerriera]

All right. Do any other districts connect here?

[ It certainly isn't lacking doors that could be intended to go elsewhere. ]

[brodakota]

I think it's just the second district and the third district. We can't get out the main doors, which is where everyone came in I assume.

[guerriera]

[ There's a glance to those double doors, before Carolina shrugs. ]

Guess I'll have to check the other districts another day.

No means to force them open, I take it? [surely doors like that must lead somewhere]

[brodakota]

They're worth seeing, I think. It's kind of fun to explore around the town.

[He glanced at the doors.]

Nope, and they're pretty heavy. I don't think I've ever seen them open.

[guerriera]

Keeping us in? Or something else out?

[ The question isn't entirely rhetorical, but if her tone is anything to go by, Carolina doesn't expect North to supply the answer. ]

So what have you found when exploring?

[brodakota]

Right now, I'd say keeping us in.

[But that's all he can speculate.]

Usually new hiding spots, and new parts of the town. No clues. Yet anyway.

[guerriera]

And 'why' would be the million dollar question, no doubt.

Sounds exciting. [ She's not being sarcastic. ..Is she? It's always been a little hard to tell sometimes. ] What do you do for fun around here, then?
