[Despite all he's done to try, North is still not getting enough sleep. Luna's visit helped, but Theta is still anxious, and North can't get to the end of the dream where things start to fix themselves. Theta gets stuck at the breaking apart, with memories of how he was created from the Alpha still very fresh for him. It's painful to go through, even if North is just getting the memory of the experience, and he would rather not put both of them through that.

So no sleep for Freelancer or AI.

He's hid it well enough for the past while he thinks. He's stumbled a few places, but otherwise, he's still functioning. He made it through the mansion alright after all.

Now, however. Now he'd not so sure.

He'd just wanted to go out for a walk, get some air and try and calm Theta down. It's really annoying how these streets can't be walked without encountering nightmares. It's worse that he didn't sleep at all last night because Theta had a particularly bad time. Cactus and Winnie are doing what they can, but it's hard for North to break away and put some distance between them to use his rifle effectively. Just bashing the nightmares on the head isn't doing much.

Still, he'd holding his own for the most part, until he finds himself surrounded by a few Kooma pandas and no way out. He tries to activate his shield but they're too close for it to be effective. Turns out the nightmare versions of Kooma pandas hit really hard, and North goes down. Immediately Cactus and Winnie are there and Theta's activated the shield. He's panicking, and scared because North being knocked out is not a good thing and he can't be in control. He knows he needs help so he goes to the communicator.

To his credit, he manages to sound somewhat in control.]

North's been knocked out by some nightmares. I've got the shield up but he needs help. Like, really soon.

[He can keep the shield going for as long as North's suit has power, which is a while, but he's worried about Cactus and Winnie, since he can't give them potions or anything like that]

We're in the backstreets of Traverse Town.

[ooc: Okay, so, to keep things organized, the first person to respond to this post will be the person rescuing North. Other people can respond, but Theta will tell them someone is on the way to avoid 20 people showing up to rescue North. It's a giant game of first, so have at it.]

[Theta nods. He just need someone right now.]

Please hurry. I can protect North but I'm worried about Cactus and Winnie.

[She's seen grabbing something off screen, then poking Fluffy to wake him up, before taking off, her two spirits behind her before her movement clicks off the video.]

[Five to ten minutes later, she's there, side arm in hand to fight her way through.]

Get them, you two. [The command sends the two spirits at the Nightmares as she's digging through the bag she grabbed earlier for some of the potions inside. She moves up to the edge of the shield as her spirits distract the nearby Nightmares.]

Who needs one of these? And would you let me in?

[Theta brightens a little to show that he's there. He points at hand at Cactus the Pricklemane.]

He does. North's just unconscious, but he's not really injured.

[He opens the shield just wide enough for her to get in and closes it right behind her.]

[She tosses the potion towards the indicated spirit, whistling to get his attention before doing so. After walking into the shield she turns to see it closed, raising an eyebrow. She'll get used to this, eventually.]

Unconscious still is not good. [She walks over and kneels down, glancing back just for a second to make sure none of the spirits are critically injured. She then looks back at North.] What happened?

[Cactus practically pounces on it before getting right back into the fight. The faster he gets rid of these nightmares, the faster they can get North to safety.

Theta looks down at North. He feels bad because he knows this is partly his fault.]

A Kooma Panda got him. He couldn't get away fast enough, and it was too close so the shield couldn't block it. It was a bad hit.

[That didn't sound good at all. Glancing over to make sure the spirits were still doing ok, she shakes her head.]

Can you keep an eye on them and let me know if they need help or a potion? I have both. [Meaning offensive or defensive help.] I need this place cleared out a bit before I can think of getting you two out of here. [She thinks for a moment before reaching down to check vitals, just in case. She doesn't have much of a plan at the moment, but, she'll come up with one.]

I can do that!

[He's been doing his best to keep an eye on North's spirits after all.]

I think York's on his way, so he might be able to help to.

[North is relatively unharmed. He hit his head and is unconscious, but otherwise mostly okay.]

Good. [There's no way she's going to be able to move him herself, even if he's semi conscious. She starts mumbling to herself as she works, pulling his helmet off. (Paying attention to Wash taught her a few tricks.)]

He does not seem too injured. I am not a doctor, but, the sooner we get him out of here the better. [She turns back towards the spirits.] A little faster, you two!

[It's safe to say that North was a little rattled around in his armour when the panda hit, There's a small crack on the visor, but otherwise, he might just have a bump or two. There's no bleeding and he's a little pale.

Theta nods.]

Yeah. I can get Winnie to help carry him. I don't think any more nightmares are coming either.

[York runs up in full armor. At least North doesn't look too bad; they'd know if something was seriously wrong, since Theta can monitor him.]

Sorry we took so long.

I believe I was closer when the message went out. There is not any bleeding, but it looks like a head wound, at the least.

Please tell me the Nightmares are at least thinning. We have to get him out of here.

They are! At least, all the Kooma pandas are gone.

Um...I think Winnie needs a potion though.

There weren't so many the way I came. We can get him back to the hotel.

[Thank god for powered armor, though it'd still be hard to haul North by himself. York pulled out a potion to give to Winnie.]

You know you and North can ask for help when things are tough before they get to this point, right?

That is good. [She was reaching into her supply when she noticed he already had a potion out.]

You know, you may want to have that discussion...later.

[Winnie takes the potion gladly before getting back to the fight. A few more nightmares and they should be clear for the most part.

Theta dims in the meantime.]

I know.

[He wants to say more, but Ziva's comment reminds him that North needs to get to safety.]

I'm gonna deactivate the shield. Winnie can help to move North and we can get to the hotel.

Yeah, definitely later.

[York stands back and waits for the shield to drop.]

If you two can take care of moving him, I can take point with the other spirits. We can take care of any Nightmares on the way. [She gets up and pulls out her sidearm, checking the clip and waiting for the shield herself.]

[Theta nods and calls Winnie over before powering down the shield. Cactus is immediately beside North, determined not to leave his side.]

[York bends to work with Winnie to pick North up; between the two of them, they'll be able to carry him.]

[Ziva walks ahead, leaning her head in a 'come on' motion to her two spirits. If they could transport, she'll cover.]

Ready?

[Theta nods, encouraging the Kooma Panda to help pick North up. That armour does make him a lot heavier.]
