[The pink pony seems cheerfully oblivious to the Hebby Rep chewing on her head.] My name's Pinkie Pie, and I just gotta say, this is the coolest dream ever! Whoever set this up totally knew what they were doing! And I mean, I've had some real dream-doozies, like that time when everything in Ponyville turned into cake and I had to eat it all while Twilight played on the tuba, but I've never-ever dreamed up my very own shiny dream-lizard before!

[She lifts a foreleg to point, causing the spirit to leap and clamp his jaws around that instead. Pinkie smiles.] I think I'm gonna call him Toothy!

[Well someone is certainly energetic. Sora's grinning before he even realizes it. Maybe they needed such crazy energy here.

He's never seen a Spirit gnawing on its person like that, but if it doesn't bother her there's not much point in saying anything.]

He looks more like a Nibbles, if you ask me.

[Bruce can be heard off screen chattering about the lame names, though only another Spirit is going to understand that.]

[Okay, he can sort of see where that would come from. The ponies aren't really familiar with humans and humans are probably similar enough to monkeys and apes that a creature familiar with monkeys might draw such a conclusion.]

Oh! Yeah, they'd totally know! I mean, they're about ten bajillion years old, so if they haven't found one yet there must not be any to find! Or they're all just really good at hiding!

So what world did you come from? I came from Equestria, but I bet the princesses and Rarity already told you all about it, huh?

My home world's called Destiny Islands. I've visited some other worlds too, though. Heh, yeah they did.

[At this point, Bruce lands on Sora's head, chattering at the communicator. Who is that weirdo Hebby Rep and is he friendly?]

Guh, Bruce!

[sailorlaughter]

[Toothy blinks slowly, one eye at a time, and then releases Pinkie to chatter back. He's friendly! He just likes to chew.]

Oooooh, you've got a lizard too?

Um, sort of?

[Bruce chatters back. Maybe the Moogles have some stuff he can chew on. You're not really supposed to chew on your pers-- er, pony.]

Toxy isn't exactly a lizard, but similar. This wise guy... [He points to Bruce, still perched on his head.] ... is a bat.

[Incidentally, Toxy can be heard off screen asking to see the new Spirit. Sora obliges him, tilting the communicator to show the Toximander. Toxy says hello.]

[But she's really really fun to chew on!]

Oooooh, he's a weird-looking lizard. Where'd you get Bruce from?

[Whatever floats your boat, then. Bruce isn't going to complain... as you're not chewing on him.]

Bruce is my second Spirit. You can make more Spirits from dream fragments. And you can get dream fragment from either fighting Nightmares or buying them from the Moogles.

[Meanwhile, Toxy is a little indignant at being called a lizard. Lizards are reptiles, dammit. Salamnders, and by extension Toximanders, are amphibians. Yes that is his berserk button... next to harming his person. Sora gives him a consoling pat, which the Toximander responds to by rolling over for tummy rubs.]

Yeah, Steven said something about nightmares! What're they like?

They're a lot like the Spirits, in some ways, but they'll try to hurt you any chance they get and they can't be reasoned with.

[Sora's pretty sure there aren't any Moogles named Steven, but it's fairly obvious that there might not be any correcting the pony on this.]

But that's why you have a Spirit. He's there to help you, to protect you if you can't fight.

I helped fight a Nightmare once! [PINKIE NO] And I didn't even bring my Party Cannon that time!

[Oh this might be interesting.]

[And then he realizes she mentioned something... maybe a little weird.]

... Party cannon?

[sailorlaughter]

Yep! And Rarity was there too! And Twilight and Fluttershy and Dashie and Applejack, but they're not here now, so we probably can't use the Elements anymore even if I did bring my necklace.

Sure! [She reaches off-screen somewhere and drags in a large blue cannon.] It's made for quick party setup, but it's also pretty good at launching changelings!

[She just pulled a rather large item from somewhere. Thin air it seems. That's... Okay, Sora has no idea what to make of this. Whatever power Pinkie Pie has, it's interesting at least. Maybe also useful?]

Launching changelings?

[He's heard of changelings as some variety of monster or other. He's also learned that some monsters are different from world to world. However, right now Sora's more hung up on the idea of launching them out of a magic cannon that seems to be intended primarily for parties. He's forgotten the Nightmare mention for the moment.]

Yeah, they're like these black bug-ponies that can change shape and eat love! They tried to invade Canterlot one time.

Okay. I'll assume you were launching them at other changelings.

[They sound kind of like Heartless... in some ways. The eating love thing is weird, to say the least.]

[sailorlaughter]

Yeah. We fought them really well, but their army was super-big, so they still kinda caught us.

That can't have been fun. But it sounds like you did get out of it.

Princess Cadence and Shining Armor used a giant shield made of love to blow them all away! You'd THINK that wouldn't happen, 'cause they eat love and all, but I think it must've been like getting smacked with a giant sandwich or something!

[Actually that analogy makes Sora think of... something considerably more gruesome, but maybe that's what he gets for reading murder mysteries sometimes.]

Yep! We haven't seen them since, but I guess they must be somewhere or other. They can look like pretty much anypony. But I know I'm not one - I tried to grow wings to see!
