( When the feed begins, a teenage girl with very dark hair is shown, her expression a little downcast as she fiddles around with her new communicator. )

Um.. is this thing on? Oh, ok..! (She waves to the communicator and attempts a smile - despite feeling thoroughly confused. ) Hi to anyone watching this! My name's Rinoa. As you can probably guess, I just got here. ( She laughs a little ) I won't lie, I'm pretty confused about this whole situation but the Moogle has been very helpful.

( Rinoa's newest friend takes this opportunity to make it's presence known and Rinoa smiles, showing everyone her new Meow Wow. She had already taken the Moogle's advice and guidance and made her first Dream Eater straight away. )

Oh I'm sorry. ( She pets the oddly adorable dog thing - she's a dog person, so she thinks it looks like a dog! - on the head, evidently already fond of the creature.) This is my new companion, Angel! (..Yeah, she's not very creative with names... And she misses her real dog, Angelo, also. She pats Angel with a kind smile before her expression turns a little more serious again. )

So.. we're dreaming? It seems hard to believe but.. with all the things that have happened to me lately, I'm starting to think anything's possible. ( Such as time compression, and becoming a sorceress, and even someone as anti-social as Squall becoming her boyfriend - but she won't go there. Not now, at least. )

I wonder when we'll awaken? And I wonder if.. time would have gone on without us..

( She says the final sentence quietely, more to herself than anyone else and she reaches up to clasp the rings on her silver necklace, her expression somewhat lost and sad. After a few moments, she shakes herself out of her reverie and smiles again. )

Anyway! I hope I can settle in here and I'd love to get to know all of you! Bye for now!

( Rinoa works out how to bring the map up and nods, studying it for a few moments. )

Thank you so much. It sounds like my immediate needs will be all sorted, then. I.. think I'd best get to the hotel, first, huh?

( She laughs, a little nervous - she's had experience fighting and all but it doesn't really get any easier over time. )

Do you need a hand getting over here? I could take a walk and find you.

[She looks pretty nervous; he has to remember that not everyone is used to fighting, even if most people seem to be.]</small.

( Rinoa smiles, grateful for his kind offer but shakes her head. )

Oh, I wouldn't wanna be a nuisance! I'm sure I can ask a Moogle for directions or something.

Trust me, you aren't being a nuisance. I'm a soldier; it's my job to look out for people.

[He doesn't want to be pushy, but he doesn't want anyone wandering around if they'd be in danger.]

( Rinoa smiles albeit a little sadly; York's words reminding her of someone else. Someone she misses desperately. But she nods, her expression quickly turning to grateful. )

In that case, I won't stop you from doing your job!

( She pans the camera around to show York where she's currently at. )

I'm still in the same area as where I woke up. ( a small laugh. ) Do you know it?

First district; okay. I'm on my way.

[He nods to the communicator then shuts it of to go find her. It doesn't take him too long to get there; Second district is pretty close.]

Thank you, see you soon.

( Rinoa smiles and turns off her own communicator. When York arrives, she'll just be waiting patiently, avoiding the risk of getting lost. )

[York waves as he approaches. Max, the Meow Wow, runs forward to greet Angel, barking excitedly.]

It's not too bad a walk from here.

( Angel gets wind of their arrival a few seconds before Rinoa and rushes forward, barking excitedly at Max.

Rinoa follows, shaking her head at the two Meow Wows. She then returns the wave. )

Wow, that was fast! Thanks for coming, I really appreciate it.

[Max bounces around happily.]

You're welcome! You can pick my brain while we walk, if you want.

( Rinoa nods and gestures with a hand; )

Lead the way~

( She laughs and nods ) I think I might take you up on that offer. I have a feeling that I'm still in denial that this is really happening. Like.. I'm sorta convinced this is another one of my vivid dreams I often have.

[Sparky, York's hebby repp, comes over to play with the meow wows.]

I've been here for...must be about a month now. I wish it could just be a dream, but it's not looking that way.

( Rinoa regarded the collection of Dream Eaters with a amused expression; it was still feeling very surreal and these creatures weren't helping the matters any. But, at least they were cute and harmless enough. )

A month? I see.. ( She looked around, taking it all in, her expression sad as the reality finally begins to set in. )

Well, I guess I'd better accept it, too, huh? That I'm not likely to wake up any time soon...

Hey, it'll be okay. Trust me, we're all working on that problem.

[York pats her lightly on the shoulder.]

Sorry. ( She turns her attention back to York with a small smile. ) It's all just finally settling in.. that I won't be waking up just yet.

So.. where's the hotel, then?

( She quickly changes the topic to lift the mood a little and she doesn't want to dwell on the sad stuff, either. )

Just up the stairs and through the big doors back here. It's not a long walk but there are some nightmares in the way.

[York's willing to let her change the subject; he understands not wanting to dwell on it yet.]

( Rinoa pales a little at the mention of the Nightmares, but she soon nods firmly; she can fight, she's got plenty of experience, but she's not feeling her best right now, hence the anxiety. However, she's not one to run away, so she looks towards the big doors. )

So, we need to fight them to get through, right? And our friends here.. they can help, too?

Yeah. [York pauses next to the doors.] The meow wows mostly bounce on things and heal things. They're pretty good at it. They're afraid of fire, though. Between me and our spirits, we'll be okay.

( Rinoa nods, taking in the information, her eyes fixed on the doors. )

I see. Ok, well.. we'll do our best, too. Right, Angel?

( Angel returned to her side, evidently catching wind of the situation. Rinoa nods to York, ready to follow his lead. )

[York pushes the door open and heads into the second district. Dream eaters appear a few yards in from the door, but Max and Sparky are already on it, going after the meow wows on sight.]

Stay here for a sec; they should have this.

( Rinoa let out a soft exclamation of surprise when the Dream eaters appeared suddenly and Angel immediately bounded in after York's Spirits, evidently having some natural instinct to fight these things on sight.

Rinoa hung back, as York requested, and watched the battle, her mouth gaping open a little. )

Will they.. be ok?

[The enemy dream eaters are vanquished quickly and Sparky and Max trot back over to York. He squats down to pet them, grinning.]

Yeah; they're good. This is what they do.

( Rinoa smiles, visibly letting out her held breath. Angel comes bounding back over having helped a little bit and Rinoa pets her new companion on the head, too. )

Wow, they are pretty capable, huh? ( She regards Angel with a thoughtful gaze and tilts her head. ) Do you think they.. enjoy fighting?

They seem to get pretty into it, but I don't know. Maybe they just like looking out for us.

[He stands and points over to their left.]

Hotel's over there.

I think it's something like that.. ( Angel was already displaying signs of being eager to please and Rinoa was once again reminded of a dog or even a cat.

She looked over to the left and nodded when she spotted the hotel before turning back to York. )

I see it! Thank you so much for helping me out, everyone! ( She smiles and takes a step back, towards the hotel. )

I'll be fine from here! Maybe I'll see you all around sometime?
