[He clears his throat]

Hi, I'm Agent North Dakota, most people just call me North, and this is my partner, Theta.

We've been here for a while, and I was just wondering if anyone else had come across a way home or a clue or anything? I'm starting to get the feeling that I should be getting back home, fun as this place is.

[He pauses for a moment, thinking]

Batty flies into view, chittering as if curious about the new people.]

[Wash mentioned there was a Batty.]

I'm sure he's good at it. I mean, Wash's flat out protected him so there's something said for loyalty.

There is. They do seem to stay whoever makes them.

I'm glad for it. They've been a great help in fights.

[Batty puffs up with pride at the praise, even if hadn't been meant for him specifically.]

I probably wouldn't have made it on my own.

You don't have any way to protect yourself? Aside from Batty?

I'm really not good at fighting...

Not even a little? Seems like it's a good thing to have in a place like this.

[Because of course Namine was always supposed to be under the Organization's control protection. Then, Riku had taken care of any Heartless or Nobodies that got too close to the mansion. Her task had been to focus on reviving Sora.]

[Batty chitters at North, sounding a little miffed at the suggestion he couldn't take care of his human on his own. Namine reaches up to pet him consolingly.

Sorry, looks like I said the wrong thing. I'm sure Batty does a great job.

It's okay...he just takes his job very seriously.

As well he should. My Pricklemane's like that to sometimes.

I think so. I've certainly got a good defense now.

It's nice to have. I used to think you could only get something like this in video games.

They can be good company.

[Batty nuzzles her cheek for that complement.]

Yeah, they really can. I've never had a pet before, so this is kind of exciting.

[Though, having know knowledge about how to care for an pet, Namine is glad that Spirits can take care of themselves to a certain degree.]

I always wanted a dog though, but I guess pricklemanes are kind of similar.
