[Souji's sitting on the edge of a wall, kicking sandaled feet in the air and smiling at the communicator set up on the wall to his left. He holds up a plate with the better part of a carefully sliced pound cake on it.]

I think Toshi is going to get fat if he and I share all of this. It's a little too big.

[He pouts, and then switches to a brilliant grin.]

-- If you're hungry, I can share!

[Reaching out to pick up the communicator, he turns it in a circle to show that he's sitting in the First District.] But hurry up. I don't know how long I'll have any left, you see.

[Laughing, he closes down the feed.]

Roxas! Hello! [He holds out the plate of cake, smiling. Toshi makes a futile leap, aiming for the plate, and tumbles off the wall instead.]

...Don't be greedy, Toshi, you had three pieces.

[Bouncer scampers over and nudges at Toshi with his nose. You okay friend?

Roxas, in the meantime, takes the plate with a nod of thanks.]

What kind of cake is it?

[Toshi gives himself a shake, spines rustling and jutting out randomly, and then snorts. He's fine. He meant to do that. Entirely.]

I'm not sure! Ah... I'm not very good with Western sweets, you see. I think it's plain?

There's no fruit in it, at least.

[Cake is cake. Roxas will eat it. Bouncer gives Toshi another sniff, just to make sure. He can do healing stuff now.]

Why do people put fruit in cakes anyway? This one's good though.

Fruit can be good too! Especially if it's the right season. I like oranges myself.

[Toshi bounces to his feet and sniffs Bouncer in return, circling a little to one side. The fall's forgotten, and he'd rather play.]

I guess melons are alright.

[Granted, Roxas is not one for fruits and vegetables.]

Haven't you ever had one before? They're orange, and a little smaller than your fist, with green petals like a flower around the stem and a point on the bottom.

They're very good. I like the skinny kind best - they're the sweetest.
