avengingarrow: (Not Sure)

[A man appears on the communicator looking a little miffed. It's Clint, though considering he hasn't really been seen without his mask before some might not make that connection. They'll probably recognize his voice...or the Pricklemane bouncing up and down behind him on a bed.]]

So what makes me so special that I get to stick around after everyone else went home? I arrived when all those others did, right? So shouldn't I have been sent home with them too?

[He sighs, rubbing at the bridge of his nose.]

Guess that was too much to hope for anyway. Things are never that easy for me.

[Clint drops his hand and looks at the screen properly now. Behind him the bouncing Pricklemane is joined by a Komory Bat sweeping down from the ceiling occasionally to bump the Pricklemane. They're playing.]

Right so since it looks like I might be here for the foreseeable future I guess some introductions are in order. Names' Clint or Hawkeye, whichever you prefer. I'm an Avenger...if that means anything to anyone here. The bouncing idiot behind me is Pinhead. And I just made the other one...think I'll call him Count. You might have teamed up with us in the whole bee attack...which I have to say you guys weren't half bad at taking down.

Which...reminds me. Anyone know where I might be able to find the supplies to restock my quiver? I'm going to need more arrows if I'm supposed to fight more bee monsters or any of the other neon monstrosities around here. I really don't think relying on Pinhead is gonna be an option.

[He jerks his thumb behind him and, as if on cue, the Pricklemane and the Komory Bat collide in a spectacular crash and then tumble off the bed and out of sight. Clint doesn't even bother looking over his shoulder which might tell you how often his has happened even before he started recording.]

See what I mean?

As you wish, Mr. Barton. [Jeeves doesn't smile, but the satisfaction to have Clint's full name is apparent enough in his tone, and the way he tilts his head in a more genial manner.] I'm afraid Mr. Banner and Mr. Stark were here and gone well before my arrival in the Realm of Dreams. Without a relevant dating system associated with the communications network, I fear identifying the precise time of their presence and stay is difficult. Some months ago would be my best assessment. Others who have been here longer, such as Her Royal Highness, may be able to offer further insight.

Might I inquire, though, sir, what it means to be an Avenger? I did not see mention of this affiliation in Mr. Banner's or Mr. Stark's missives, though they did allude to most peculiar occurrences in which they had been jointly involved in some capacity. Mr. Stark appeared to be from a time in the relative future compared to Mr. Banner, though.

I would be interested in any uses you might find for the equipment, sir. Mr. Stark and Mr. Banner seemed most intelligent gentlemen.

Might I inquire, though, as to what you mean by 'superhero?' [He raises a brow slightly.] Persons with extraordinary abilities are limited in your world, then?

Is your world lacking in an organized military force, sir?

['Vigilantes' is the term coming most prominently to mind, otherwise.]

May I ask what caused your departure? I would think the services of a man who has extraordinary abilities would bolster their ability to be the 'best.'

As an aside, I also could not help but note your conversation with Mr. Soujirou. You might inform him that by Tokyo you mean Edo. He is from a time even before mine when the capitol of Japan was located elsewhere.
juniorganymedian: (are you people srs?)

I see, sir. [That would tend to justify some mistrust. It's a little surprising that he would be mistaken for committing a crime if he had been working within the group. More surprising than that, however, is Clint's apparent acceptance of time-travel. Soujirou had taken more convincing.]

You'll find there are persons here from a variety of times on Earth. I hail from 1925, myself. I beg your pardon, though, is this something you've encountered before? [The lack of incredulity is a little disconcerting.]
juniorganymedian: (yeah... no)

Your Earth would seem to be far more fantastic than my own, sir. Neither aliens nor mutants exist beyond persons entering a country illegally or individuals in circus side-acts. [He's very happy that that's all he's ever had to deal with.]

How, might I ask, was the captain frozen without experiencing hypothermia and death, though?
juniorganymedian: (give me patience)

Most peculiar. [And strange and disturbing. That opinion might be taking it a bit far.]

In any case, thank you for the information, Mr. Barton. Best of luck with your endeavors in Mr. Stark's residence.

[He tips his bowler hat politely and waits for Hawkeye's acknowledgement before signing off.]
