[Donna holds up a male's shirt, definitely not hers and motions towards it with the other hand. She looks slightly confused, but not bothered by finding it... probably from finding random stuff in the TARDIS all the time.]

Doctor, I doubt this is yours... I have no idea how it got in here. Anyone recognize it?
juniorganymedian: (lord above)

[Jeeves closes his eyes and takes a deep breath before switching his communicator on to reply. He had been wondering where his shirt had disappeared to. It is a white button-down that had been pressed and folded.]

It is mine, madam. Might I inquire where you located it?

juniorganymedian: (tee dee hee sir)

[It's a powerful temptation to roll his eyes, but Jeeves has had many years and many irritating people to practice patience with.]

Did you, perhaps, witness its arrival?
juniorganymedian: (give me patience)

[personal profile] juniorganymedian 2014-05-04 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
Was your door left unlocked? Agent Washington's Spirit has been engaging in larceny for some time now. My apologies that you seem to have suffered from its wiles. [He's mostly sorry that he's suffering from this, but the woman deserves consideration first for the inconvenience.] I would be happy to come collect the shirt.
juniorganymedian: (sheep cough)

[video]>[action]

[personal profile] juniorganymedian 2014-05-04 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)
The only one who should apologize, madam, is Agent Washington's cat. [And Wash himself, but that should be a given. If he can't properly train his animals not to engage in anomalous activities, then he should take responsibility for the activities, themselves.]

You are certainly not at fault. I shall be over presently.

[And with that, Jeeves is off to Donna's door. He knocks politely when he reaches it.]
battleborndr: (me and my friends understand the future)

Acquiring strange men's clothing now, Donna? [Someone looks amused.]

juniorganymedian: (this pleases me)

[personal profile] juniorganymedian 2014-05-04 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
I would think 'strange' better fits a man of your description, Doctor.

[Jeeves can take teasing in good spirit. Sometimes.]
battleborndr: (you're a memory from before)

[personal profile] battleborndr 2014-05-04 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe she already has pieces of my clothing.

[A beat, and then he realizes how wrong that sounds and he just looks a bit mortified. He's not quite sure how to recover from that.]
juniorganymedian: (happiness is fleeting)

[personal profile] juniorganymedian 2014-05-04 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
[Well, then. Jeeves isn't going to stop the man hanging himself, as it appears he's intent to do.]

Does she indeed, sir? I was unaware you and Ms. Noble engaged in such clothing sharing opportunities.

[He'll feed him a bit more rope, though.]

battleborndr: (five for silver)

[personal profile] battleborndr 2014-05-04 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
Well she does like her hat boxes.
juniorganymedian: (world of possibility)

[personal profile] juniorganymedian 2014-05-04 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
If you'll pardon my suggesting it, Doctor, I think a gentleman's hat would suit you far more than a lady's. I can make several suggestions for a complement if you find yourself in need and turning to Ms. Noble's wardrobe for such accessories.
battleborndr: (to try to find the reasons why)

[personal profile] battleborndr 2014-05-04 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
Donna'd make anything look good though. [Look who's trying to dig himself out of a hole.] If I had a gentleman's hat, she'd pull it off, stunning.
juniorganymedian: (smug)

[personal profile] juniorganymedian 2014-05-04 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
Doubtlessly, Ms. Noble would carry a gentleman's hat with great aplomb. [Look who's wise enough not to disagree with that, whatever he might be thinking.] It is most magnanimous of you to say, of course. I wonder, sir, have you finished replacing the portion of her wardrobe that your Hebby Repp incinerated some time ago? I merely wonder if this might be the general cause for any clothing sharing you might be engaging in at present.

battleborndr: (nothing but a shell)

[personal profile] battleborndr 2014-05-04 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
[Wow. Talk about an instantaneous way to flip the Doctor's mood from mortified to something close to anger. Really, Jeeves? Really? Maybe he's just having a bad day, but he's not really finding the humor in this.]

I've done what I can, thank you. Must it be shared again? I'm trying. None of this is easy -- [Oops kind of going off topic now thaaat should stop. He's just going to shut his trap, though he's looking like even that's hard.]
juniorganymedian: (biting my tongue)

[video] > [private]

[personal profile] juniorganymedian 2014-05-04 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
[Jeeves' brows rise a fraction of an eighth of an inch at the sudden shift. The Doctor's dug himself a fine grave to lie in once Donna replies, and Jeeves feels sufficiently less embarrassed about his own situation in regards to the missing clothing. Time to soothe the beast. He switches to a private communication.]

My sincere apologies, Doctor. It was not my intent to vex you, only jest. If you do require assistance in making full reparations for Ms. Noble's clothes, please allow me to assist as I may. I understand that this place is most trying for all of us. Particularly those unaccustomed to magic and sapient animals.
battleborndr: (these thoughts I must not think of)

[video][private]

[personal profile] battleborndr 2014-05-04 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
[He's steaming off significantly now from the apology, thankfully. He still appears rather ruffled, but not really at Jeeves, and he hasn't switched to Voice or Text, so that's something.]

Sapient animals I can handle... Magic is new. [He holds his head.] Just... being human. Crazy nonsense. A lot unusual. And I can't... explain it to Donna, because it's her future.
juniorganymedian: (mousetrapped)

[video][private]

[personal profile] juniorganymedian 2014-05-04 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
Humans are a most adaptable and admirable species, if frustrating at times. [He glances to the side briefly as he gathers his thoughts on the matter. This is a more complex conversation than he had been expecting.]

I'm sorry to hear you find yourself in a position of having to conceal important matters from Ms. Noble. Is it something to do with the gentleman who arrived recently who also calls himself the Doctor?
battleborndr: (how things are gonna turn out now?)

[video][private]

[personal profile] battleborndr 2014-05-04 04:25 am (UTC)(link)
[Well that's how they are, right? Regular conversation shifting into philosophical discussions. Seems a bit normal, and kind of a relief, actually, despite the topic. He's fully cooled off.]

No, not exactly. I suppose it has to do with a future version of that Doctor, but... Let's just say Donna had a hand in... [He fights over the right word and makes a bit of an irked face at what he comes up with.] My conception. And it... it didn't go well for her, in the end. She lived, but... she wasn't the same.
juniorganymedian: (just saying)

[video][private]

[personal profile] juniorganymedian 2014-05-04 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
[It certainly helps to take Jeeves' mind away from the marginally less-consequential and certainly less-weighty matter of his missing shirt.]

And you believe knowledge of this event would influence Ms. Noble's actions when she wakens such that it might prevent your creation and result in a paradox? [That would be Jeeves' immediate concern were he in the Doctor's position.] Is she aware that you are not whatever version of the Doctor is in her past and present? I imagine such a revelation might also cause some consternation on the lady's part.
battleborndr: (if only I could make a deal with god)

[video][private]

[personal profile] battleborndr 2014-05-04 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
It's a bit more complicated than that. To change the events of someone's future is one thing, but this is... bigger than that. It's something that's unchangeable, woven through time far back before anything that she even could undo it at this point. It's... [He makes a frustrated sound and looks away. He doesn't want to say "fixed," but...] Even if I wanted to change it, for her sake, it can't be. The whole of reality could suffer as consequence. [Fixed point interference or not, Davros' reality bomb should not be forgotten.

He pauses and sighs.]
She knows I'm not him, but she doesn't know the extent of it.
juniorganymedian: (getting worried here)

[video][private]

[personal profile] juniorganymedian 2014-05-04 06:38 am (UTC)(link)
[Jeeves is silent for a moment as he digests this.]

For a single person to have such paramount importance in your universe... Ms. Noble must be a most extraordinary woman. [Far more so than his limited interactions with her and what he's observed would suggest. From what he's gathered she is simply a woman of common means, quick temper, and sensible tastes - if masculine ones for her choice to wear trousers more often than not. There is little about her to suggest she is anything other than ordinary apart from her association with the Doctor.]

It is a most challenging situation, though, and you have my sympathies, Doctor. Do you know for certain that telling Ms. Noble of the circumstances surrounding these events would cause her to want to change them? Or is it simply they are unpalatable for discussion? [He'd certainly want to know what he was walking into if in her situation.]
battleborndr: (I like it like that and I know it)

[video][private]

[personal profile] battleborndr 2014-05-04 06:57 am (UTC)(link)
[Despite his solemn and hesitant nature in this conversation, there it one thing that he can say with complete and utter certainty.]

She is remarkable.

[He chokes up a little at the next question, but works through it and manages a calmer expression even though he feels anything but.]

Even... even if she doesn't mean to change it... the littlest thing can send things spiraling down a different direction.

[And there's something else that he's very obviously holding back from saying here.]
juniorganymedian: (let me think)

[video][private]

[personal profile] juniorganymedian 2014-05-04 05:20 pm (UTC)(link)
[Jeeves makes a mental note to compliment Donna if he ever wants to divert the Doctor's attention away from something else.]

I see. I fear the concept of paradox and time-travel somewhat limit my ability to offer a solution, Doctor. Has Ms. Noble inquired into the nature of your creation? If she takes no interest, it may be easier, even if the knowledge is a burden you carry.
battleborndr: (my blood lust consuming me)

[video][private] fff so late

[personal profile] battleborndr 2014-06-05 07:43 am (UTC)(link)
[He grins wryly.]

It's generally outside of most peoples' knowledge. I wouldn't fret.

She hasn't really... yet. I fear it'll come up one day though. I think it might make things... messy. [Refusing to answer Donna never goes well, after all.

He sighs.]

Listen to me. [He laughs, a bit bitter. There he goes, distancing himself from people.] You shouldn't have to hear this.
juniorganymedian: (you'll be surprised)

[video][private] Noooo worries!

[personal profile] juniorganymedian 2014-06-06 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
[Jeeves' smile is dry in return.] A burden shared is a burden halved, is it not, Doctor? [He sobers quickly.] It is a most complex issue, and not one men find themselves facing in many circumstances. I am happy to lend an ear, if nothing else. I can assure you, I enjoy listening when the words are spoken with intelligence and care.

Should Ms. Noble express a less-than-favorable opinion regarding the situation when she does become aware, it would be of benefit, I suspect, to have someone already apprised of the situation.
battleborndr: (how things are gonna turn out now?)

[video][private]

[personal profile] battleborndr 2014-06-06 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
You sound like Luna. [Which may be a strange mix of a compliment and an insult.

He thinks maybe he could open up to Jeeves, but...]
Another time, how about? [Which probably means "never," but who knows. This place and its dreams... they do weird things to his head.]
juniorganymedian: (so not amused)

[video][private]

[personal profile] juniorganymedian 2014-06-06 02:26 pm (UTC)(link)
[Jeeves' demeanor shifts from warm to something well below zero in an instant. He straightens his already-stiff posture and speaks in a tone that can only be described as 'soupy.' He is nothing like a thoroughly impossible, prying, prancing, magical pony.]

My apologies, sir. Another time.
battleborndr: (ground control to major tom)

[video][private]

[personal profile] battleborndr 2014-06-06 02:42 pm (UTC)(link)
[Oh come on Luna isn't that bad...

...all the time...

... ...well he wanted to distance himself... He sure got his wish.

He swallows.]

You... Stay safe, Jeeves.
juniorganymedian: (just me)

[video][private]

[personal profile] juniorganymedian 2014-06-06 02:48 pm (UTC)(link)
You, as well, Doctor. Good day.

[Jeeves ends the message and goes to clean something very thoroughly while counting the myriad ways in which he differs from the Princess of the Night.]
allpurposescarf: (why would I know?)

[personal profile] allpurposescarf 2014-05-05 07:51 pm (UTC)(link)
No, it's not mine. Unless you meant the other Doctor, in which case I suppose it might be after all.
