[Donna holds up a male's shirt, definitely not hers and motions towards it with the other hand. She looks slightly confused, but not bothered by finding it... probably from finding random stuff in the TARDIS all the time.]
Doctor, I doubt this is yours... I have no idea how it got in here. Anyone recognize it?
Doctor, I doubt this is yours... I have no idea how it got in here. Anyone recognize it?
It is mine, madam. Might I inquire where you located it?
There.
Did you, perhaps, witness its arrival?
No, it was here when I got back from wandering around.
[video]>[action]
You are certainly not at fault. I shall be over presently.
[And with that, Jeeves is off to Donna's door. He knocks politely when he reaches it.]
[video][threadjack]
[Jeeves can take teasing in good spirit. Sometimes.]
[A beat, and then he realizes how wrong that sounds and he just looks a bit mortified. He's not quite sure how to recover from that.]
Does she indeed, sir? I was unaware you and Ms. Noble engaged in such clothing sharing opportunities.
[He'll feed him a bit more rope, though.]

I've done what I can, thank you. Must it be shared again? I'm trying. None of this is easy -- [Oops kind of going off topic now thaaat should stop. He's just going to shut his trap, though he's looking like even that's hard.]
[video] > [private]
My sincere apologies, Doctor. It was not my intent to vex you, only jest. If you do require assistance in making full reparations for Ms. Noble's clothes, please allow me to assist as I may. I understand that this place is most trying for all of us. Particularly those unaccustomed to magic and sapient animals.
[video][private]
Sapient animals I can handle... Magic is new. [He holds his head.] Just... being human. Crazy nonsense. A lot unusual. And I can't... explain it to Donna, because it's her future.
[video][private]
I'm sorry to hear you find yourself in a position of having to conceal important matters from Ms. Noble. Is it something to do with the gentleman who arrived recently who also calls himself the Doctor?
[video][private]
No, not exactly. I suppose it has to do with a future version of that Doctor, but... Let's just say Donna had a hand in... [He fights over the right word and makes a bit of an irked face at what he comes up with.] My conception. And it... it didn't go well for her, in the end. She lived, but... she wasn't the same.
[video][private]
And you believe knowledge of this event would influence Ms. Noble's actions when she wakens such that it might prevent your creation and result in a paradox? [That would be Jeeves' immediate concern were he in the Doctor's position.] Is she aware that you are not whatever version of the Doctor is in her past and present? I imagine such a revelation might also cause some consternation on the lady's part.
[video][private]
He pauses and sighs.] She knows I'm not him, but she doesn't know the extent of it.
[video][private]
For a single person to have such paramount importance in your universe... Ms. Noble must be a most extraordinary woman. [Far more so than his limited interactions with her and what he's observed would suggest. From what he's gathered she is simply a woman of common means, quick temper, and sensible tastes - if masculine ones for her choice to wear trousers more often than not. There is little about her to suggest she is anything other than ordinary apart from her association with the Doctor.]
It is a most challenging situation, though, and you have my sympathies, Doctor. Do you know for certain that telling Ms. Noble of the circumstances surrounding these events would cause her to want to change them? Or is it simply they are unpalatable for discussion? [He'd certainly want to know what he was walking into if in her situation.]
[video][private]
She is remarkable.
[He chokes up a little at the next question, but works through it and manages a calmer expression even though he feels anything but.]
Even... even if she doesn't mean to change it... the littlest thing can send things spiraling down a different direction.
[And there's something else that he's very obviously holding back from saying here.]
[video][private]
I see. I fear the concept of paradox and time-travel somewhat limit my ability to offer a solution, Doctor. Has Ms. Noble inquired into the nature of your creation? If she takes no interest, it may be easier, even if the knowledge is a burden you carry.
[video][private] fff so late
It's generally outside of most peoples' knowledge. I wouldn't fret.
She hasn't really... yet. I fear it'll come up one day though. I think it might make things... messy. [Refusing to answer Donna never goes well, after all.
He sighs.]
Listen to me. [He laughs, a bit bitter. There he goes, distancing himself from people.] You shouldn't have to hear this.
[video][private] Noooo worries!
Should Ms. Noble express a less-than-favorable opinion regarding the situation when she does become aware, it would be of benefit, I suspect, to have someone already apprised of the situation.
[video][private]
He thinks maybe he could open up to Jeeves, but...] Another time, how about? [Which probably means "never," but who knows. This place and its dreams... they do weird things to his head.]
[video][private]
My apologies, sir. Another time.
[video][private]
...all the time...
... ...well he wanted to distance himself... He sure got his wish.
He swallows.]
You... Stay safe, Jeeves.
[video][private]
[Jeeves ends the message and goes to clean something very thoroughly while counting the myriad ways in which he differs from the Princess of the Night.]
