[To some the smirk and white hair will be familiar and, to others, it's just another new face among several. Whatever is bringing in all these new folks is apparently bringing in "old" faces as well.

He certainly seems to be taking this pretty well.]

I'm going to guess I missed something cause I spotted a whole lot more people when I flew over the First District.

You guys didn't forget about me, did you? Not that it's been that long for me...but if I remember right that's not always the case on this side of the whole dreaming thing.

[He then gives a casual wave.]

And hello to everyone else. I'm Jack Frost.

[And with that Jack will wait for responses. He is currently perched on a low roof top in the First District, his staff propped up on his left and the air near him at least 10 degrees cooler than anywhere else. Passing by you may also notice the white Komory Bat fluttering around him.]

Good day, Mr. Frost. My name is Jeeves. [Here's someone who recognizes you, Jack, but not likely the other way around.] You would seem to have returned with a large number of other new persons to the Realm of Dreams. The portals to other worlds have also been closed off.

You may wish to seek some form of shelter or join with a group, though. A Nightmare called the Spellican recently raised four other large and vicious Nightmares dreamers fought previously in other worlds of this realm. I suspect they're most dangerous.

[Sorry to ruin the fun, Jack. Jeeves is a serious man, though.]

You mean we can't go to that spaceship or Twilight Town? Darn, I didn't really get a chance to do much on the ship when I was here last.

[Although the ship had been a little confining for his tastes.]

Ah. That's...not good. We've never had to face that many before, at least not of the bigger ones.

I regret you describe the situation precisely as it is, sir. Might I inquire: Did you assist in any of the fights with the large Nightmares during your previous sojourn in the Realm of Dreams? Knowing what we face would be most helpful. The Nightmare that looks like a horse in armor is one that you would not have encountered. It has the ability to summon Komory Bats, vanish into smoke, and buckle the very ground beneath your feet.

A gentleman fleet of foot would likely do best against it.

I somehow lucked out on all that fun actually. Bad timing I guess.

[He'd left before the Meta, though he'd explored the spaceship trying to find it. He'd been exploring a mansion with others during the Buzzerfly attack. He now felt a little guilty that he HADN'T been around for those battles.]

I'm probably one of the few who can fly, right? I'll scope things out, cover parts of town that Luna hasn't already investigated.

The effort would be most appreciated, Ms. Frost. I'm certain there are others who might be able to illuminate the weaknesses and attack patterns of the enemies who have appeared. Please do not trouble yourself about that.

Jack Frost! Thou'rt returned!

[Luna's flying as she talks, flanked by her Komory Bat and Peepsta Hoo. While she does look quite pleased to see him again, she quickly looks away to continue scanning the streets.]

'Tis truly grand to see thee again, but we have a situation on our hooves at the moment.

...well, several situations.

Looks that way. Hey Princess it's good to see you too.

[It's good to see a familiar face, even better that it is someone he considers a good friend.]

Uh oh. What's going on? What do you need me to do?

We shall focus on the four powerful Nightmares wandering the streets at the moment. They must be found and destroyed. I personally saw Hockomonkey, Queen Buzzerfly, the Meta - it looks like a very large Nightmare Freelancer - and...

[Horsefeathers.]

...ah, an alicorn-shaped one.

Got it. I can help with an aerial search if you want. If not too much has changed I know we don't have a lot of people who can fly.

You recognize this place-- Well, that really isn't very important right now.

[pause. This isn't important either, but he can't resist--] The Jack Frost?

You may want to find your way to a safer place to settle in. I'm afraid we've recently been afflicted with several unusually large monsters.

I was here before. Doesn't seem so long ago for me, but I have a feeling a lot of things happened while I was away.

[Jack smirks. He likes getting more recognition, even though he'd mostly solved that little problem back home too.]

That's my name. And, yeah, I suppose I'm the Jack Frost...if by that you mean the guy who brings ice and snow.

[He tilts his head.]

Yeah...there's still a hotel to use right? Not really used to staying in one, last time I just sort of hung out on roof tops.

[Fraser smiled, despite the seriousness. Jack Frost, indeed! He believed the boy -- considering the things he'd seen so far, this hardly qualified as unusual -- and yet. What a person to meet so far from home.]

That is what I mean, yes, and there is indeed a hotel. I believe that Queen Minnie should be defending the doors against the creatures with magic, if you choose to take refuge there.

That's good that there's a safe place...but I won't be taking refuge. I have a feeling that if I came back it's probably for a reason.

Besides, can't let all the new guys have all the fun.

Well, I'm sure your help will be welcome.

[His eyes go briefly unfocused with thought, and the corner of his mouth tucks down.] Since you have been here before, might I ask a favor? Do you know the layout of this city?

I was a frequent flier before I left this place...so yeah I'd say I know it pretty well. So what's the favor?

I have not yet learned it myself, and I wondered if you would be able to -- well, sketch me a simple map, perhaps?

I think I can manage that. Let me do a quick fly over to make sure nothings changed though. I'd hate to give you a dated map.

[Fraser relaxed into a smile.] Dated won't matter to me. You see, I thought I might check around and make sure everyone here has found someplace safe. There are quite a few new arrivals.

I noticed that, yeah. I'll get you a map as soon as I can. Safe spaces shouldn't be hard to figure out either.

The 'Nightmares' don't seem to venture into residences. [He touches the brim of his hat.] I'll be in the First District. Please, let me know if there's anything I can do for you!
