[And here we have a new face. One who seems to have a fairly interesting choice in clothes, if the over-long scarf is any indication. Still, he doesn't seem to mind it any. In fact, he seems to be far more interested in the communicator itself.]

Ah, there we are. You know, it really is fascinating how many different ways to talk to people there are. You’d think that sooner or later all devices like this one would end up looking he same, but I’ve seen so many different kinds, over the years. And none of them are at all alike, except in what they do. Communication, no matter what form it takes.

I don't see what's wrong with a perfectly good brush and paper. These are so confusing! I still don't understand how they work at all.

Pen and paper are terribly inconvenient for getting messages to everyone all at once.

You, too? There's already a doctor who won't give his name! You're going to have to be Doctor Two.

I most certainly won't! Two is a terrible number to be.

[He chuckles.] Do let us all know which of you should be number one, won't you?

Or perhaps a nickname.

What other sorts of devices like this have you seen?

[his tone is one of complaint, but he sighs, and adds more cheerfully] Well, in that case, what kind of world are you from?

One that's terribly technologically advanced, and also terribly boring.

Oh, I think it sounds interesting. Advanced, like this place?

Then it's very different from my home! But maybe it'll be easier for you to settle in here, hmm?

This place isn't very boring, either.

[His bright smile returns all at once, and he adds with the lilt back in his voice:] Or so I've been warned! Very scary, isn't it? But do be careful, Doctor.

I've seen worse, over the years. And besides, I'm always careful.
