[The camera swings up to what is clearly the orchard just outside of Ponyville, just in time to catch a treeful of teal blossoms turning into tiny gray apples.]

LOOK at THIS! Do you guys know what this MEANS?

It's ZAPAPPLE SEASON!!! I'm TOTALLY gonna make zapapple jam all by myself, JUST so you can all see how good it tastes! I think I know most of the rules and signs and stuff - Rarity, do you know any of them? Or Princesses? Oh, and if anyone else wants to help me make jam, just show up after the giant storm with a bunny suit and anything pink polka-dotted!

I dunno! I guess maybe we could try some cider, but I've never made that before. [She's helped with the apple-crushing part, but that doesn't really cover it all.]

Hmm. I've never made cider either. But what about pies and dumplings? Or cake even?

Ooooooh...I've never TRIED to make a PIE out of them before!

Never? Apple pie is good to start with. I bet it'd be better with special apples.

Nah, the Apple family likes to keep 'em close to their chest. It's how they make most of their money, especially when the Zapapples come in the off-season! So they just make the jam and sell it themselves.

Oh... [That sounds a wee bit selfish to Sora, but maybe it'd make more sense if he knew more about the world. And anyway, something else Pinkie said gets his attention.]

Wait a minute, so the zapapples don't have a set time of year when they come?

[Well, when your barn gets destroyed by practically everything that comes to town...]

Nope! They just come when they feel like it, I guess!

When they feel like it... I guess they don't feel like it very often?

[Well, he's seen plenty of odd stuff. Apples that only grow when they feel like it is actually pretty tame. Plants are living things, after all.]

Not too often! It's usually not more than once or twice a year!
