Comm Post: First of Its Name [video/audio]
[Fiddles with the communicator strapped tightly to his right wrist and glares as the picture comes into focus. Doing anything that requires fine motor control with just his left hand is still difficult, and even fastening buttons takes time. Add completely unfamiliar technology into the mix, and he's lucky he can even turn it on. He's waited until he found the inn the... what was that little white dwarf-bear with the red puff-ball called again? Oh... Moogle... The inn that the moogle directed him to and arranged for a room before trying to turn it on.]
I must admit, it is almost refreshing to be told that I need to introduce myself, though talking to a box on my wrist seems to be an odd way of doing it. Some sort of sorcery perhaps?
[A pained expression spreads over his face. Tyrion would have been fascinated by this. HE would have had ideas. HE would have poked and prodded at the little box and muttered about old books and maesters and theories. But Tyrion isn't here.]
I am Jaime Lannister, son of... no, I suppose that doesn't matter here, if you don't know the Lannister name. Suffice to say, I am a knight and a warrior...
[He looks down at the stump where his right hand once was.]
Though there's less of me than there used to be.
I've been told there are others here from many worlds... if there are any here from mine, be it Westeros, or the Free Cities, or Essos, you know my name, and I offer you... if not my friendship, then my help in getting back to where we came from.
And Brienne, if you're here... wake up and find the Stark girl, and SEVEN HELLS, stop following me! Unless you can't wake up either. If that's the case, I might have a use for that sword arm of yours and that very fine sword I gave you. I seem to be unarmed. Most embarrassing for a knight of the kingsguard, wouldn't you say?
[He pokes warily at the communicator again, and it lets out a shrill screech before turning off. The pricklemane that's been following him since he agreed to let the moogle help him synthesize it, and is now laying at his feet, winces and hisses at him, but doesn't move away from him. Jaime rather wishes that it would just go away, but doesn't think it worth the trouble to drive it off.]

[Jaime is painfully aware that he's done some pretty awful things too, and he hopes she can't read guilt in his expression, because for some reason it matters to him what the wolf thinks. Maybe it's because she manages to express concern and compassion without making him feel pathetic. Not a lot of people in his world managed that.]

[Perhaps unfortunately for him, Ammy is pretty good at reading expressions. She's spent a lot of time just listening to what other people say. She can tell he feels a little guilty about it, but she's not sure how. If she can tell, though, it's harder to read what she thinks about that. Mostly there's just this look of concern, with a little relief that the "goat with poor manners" won't try it again.]

[The wolf is still concerned? Is it... worried about him?]

Look, all that happened was this. The man who did this to me? A while later, he tried to hurt a friend of mine. She, my friend, fought back. I heard he died of the wounds she gave him soon after. So, she avenged me, in a way.
[He's not sure why he's telling all of this to the wolf, and he shrugs and tries to re-assume his devil-may-care attitude.]
And what about you, Big White? You seem to be an unusual wolf. What's your story? I've told you mine, so it's only fair.
[He's not quite sure what he's expecting. Unlike the ponies, the wolf doesn't seem to speak the way humans do...]

[Her story is a bit trickier to explain, especially to someone who may not be familiar with Nippon and its ways. However, she may as well tell some of what she can. She takes out several sheets of paper, and after a little bit of painting, then holds up a series of pictures:]
[She was sleeping in a stone statue until Sakuya, the spirit of the great tree awoke her. There was darkness over the land.]
[She joined up with her friend Issun, her celestial envoy. They had a lot of adventures!]
[She had to battle the dreaded Orochi again, and defeated him.]
[But Orochi was just the beginning. She had to battle Yami, the lord of darkness, but won because of the faith of those in Nippon.]
[And she was on her way back to the Celestial Plain when she fell asleep and found herself here.]

Well then, I had no idea I was talking to a hero worthy of a song or two.
[Here, Ammy. Have a fanboy. Jaime likes heroes, when he's not too jaded to admit it to himself.]
