Jail Break! (Action/Video)
[So, with Ziva gone, Fluffy and Abby have been in Wash's care. But, that doesn't mean the behave. They break out at least once a day to try to find Ziva. Why no, she totally didn't teach them how to pick locks. This time is slightly different though.
They brought Ziva's comm with them.
It's currently in Fluffy's possession, and he's in flight somewhere in Traverse Town. Every once in a while, Abby can be seen on the ground in the lens of the comm. They're talking back and forth to each other, mostly Where haven't we looked? and Hey! Over there!.
Then, there's the sound of gunfire off in the distance. Their person had a gun! And it sounded kind of like that sometimes. So, immediate direction change and off they go that way. The comm is tossed down to Abby and she catches it as he lands on her head, taking a break from flying for a moment.
The camera shows a glimpse of someone, in armor...some not-so-blue shade of blue, but not enough to show who it may be. Just...it's not who they were looking for.]

The noise was not a good idea. Especially not around a jumpy freelancer who's already questioning her sanity thanks to the brightly coloured bat and bear tag team. The fact she *doesn't* fire her weapons at Luna can only be attributed to exceptionally quick reflexes - but the twin plasma rifles are still pointed in the alicorn's direction.
(Don't ever ever EVER tell South you thought Carolina was her. The younger twin might not know whether to laugh in your face, or punch that princess pony nose of yours.)
Her voice isn't quite a snarl. Someone's not about to answer your questions straight away. ]
And what the Hell are you supposed to be?
no subject
I am the Princess of the Night. And thou?
no subject
...Of course. An actual night /mare/. Of course.
[ Whatever. She's so done right now. Meaning that Luna's question is met by the agent's back as she turns and...walks away? If the rumble of unseen thunder disturbs her, Carolina certainly gives no sign of it. ]
no subject
Do not turn thy back on us, Agent!
no subject
(Win-win situation for everyone, clearly!)
Calling her an Agent, though? THAT gives pause to Carolina's strides.
Her weight shifts, back straight, before she turns her head to stare back flatly over one shoulder. Luna's not the only one who looks intimidating when the lightning flashes, reflecting off the freelancer's armor. ]
Who I am is none of your business.

She can count the number of people left for her to care about on exactly one hand -- though she'll soon find most of them here, in one fashion or another. ]
If you know anything about Project Freelancer [and her tone clearly implies You Know Nothing
Jon Snow] then you'd know most of the agents are dead. The one who considers me the greatest threat is going to get what's coming to him. So, stay out of my way.

That's my business.
If you'll excuse me, I'll be getting back to it.
[ She takes two strides forward again, before pausing. The Director already knows she's coming for him, that much she's sure of. ]
And it's Agent Carolina.

Thou shalt not find those responsible here. We do not tolerate such things. [Well okay except for Wash shooting that South woman. But that seemed understandable.
Luckily, she never found out about Wyoming.]All the same, we should appreciate if thou didst not speak of such matters o'er the open network. We fear it may upset Theta.

Carolina simply keeps walking, ignoring the alicorn's decision to follow her - at least, initially. Determined heading further into the back streets area, she's mindful of where the twists and turns of the alleyways fall, keeping in mind the aqueducts overhead. Some seem wide enough to fit a person, at least, and she's sure enough of her balance that the thinner stretches don't pose too much concern to her in her own mind.
...Why is the floating unicorn hallucination still talking at her. ]
I don't recall asking for or needing your 'permission'.
[ Her eyes narrow, though Luna can't see it. Theta had been North's AI, but that doesn't mean anything anymore - the EMP had wiped everything, and that could easily be someone else's name. ]
What network?
no subject
Hast thou spoken to the Moogles? The small bear-like creatures. They are very helpful. [She said in a tone that clearly says she knows you haven't. You probably said something rude or shot at them, didn't you.]
no subject
[Just bring it, horse feathers.]
[Wait, you mean the thing that jumped out at a mercenary still highly keyed from infiltrating a base with intent to kill?]
...No. I have not.
no subject
[What, were you expecting her to actually tell you? You haven't even got a communicator, it wouldn't do any good.]

Having a glowy flying pony isn't exactly conducive to incognito reconnaissance. What Luna hopes to achieve, outside of further aggravating the cyan -coloured freelancer, is unclear. But she's certainly not going to make friends this way.
Not that Carolina trusts enough nowadays to make friends.
There's a single sour look over her shoulder, before Carolina sprints forward, using her momentum to leap up atop several barrels; in turn, she uses these as a platform to make several strides up the wall, before leaping across to one of the railings. There's a brief pause, then once balance has been ascertained, she strikes off again, moving higher. ]

The alicorn banks to the side slightly and hovers, watching Carolina's antics. She's not entirely sure how going upward is meant to evade a flying pursuer. But she can still see her, so she doesn't bother swooping after.
Now that she's farther off, in fact...she flicks her communicator out of its little pocket of space, dialing Celestia's unit at home and speaking quietly into it.]
Noctis, I know thou canst hear me. Go see to Agent Washington. Wake Ursa and send her for North. [She can locate York herself. That leaves Epsilon unguarded, however...]

Carolina would love to ditch her equine shadow, but for the moment, she has a few other priorities, even if they are not immediately obvious. And given that the purple princess of the night declines to follow right away, she can at least put some distance between them.
The unusual rooftops slant at odd angles, but this doesn't seem to put her off in the slightest, Carolina continuing her climb up higher to the best of her ability. It's only when more dark swirls of energy materialize that she pauses, one hand dropping to her leftside sidearm as black and purple meow wows object to her presence on their tiles.
By the time Luna opts to make her move to catch up, however, all that remains of the pack is a mess of dream pieces and scattered money, left scattered on the gables by the human unaware of their significance. The path of smashed nightmares does seem to swing back towards the First District, however. ]
no subject
Towards the First District, hm? The alicorn thinks for a moment, before vanishing herself with a flash of light. She knows the city well, and can easily be at the Freelancer's hotel before anything untoward happens.]
no subject
once Carolina realises how useful they are!If Luna took herself directly to the Second District, she'd find herself waiting quite some time. Carolina had no idea the hotel lay in that direction, for one, never mind that people she knew were there.
Instead, the freelancer had, finally, found a suitably high vantage point, overlooking at least two districts and allowing some sign of the lights and decorations of those further out. The unobstructed view of the endless sea of stars helps too.
She has no idea where she is, and no one answers her radio's calls. Leaning back against a crooked chimney, Carolina stares and thinks (and worries.) ]
