Eighth Link [Private to Sora and Xion]
[At first it looks like Namine's fiddling with the controls to make sure she's got the settings right--looks like she might want to say something privately. Once apparently satisfied that she's managed to get things set up the way she wants, she nods in satisfaction.]
Sora? Xion? You know how Bolin found a photo the other day? Well, I found one, too, and thought you should see it before the others.
[She holds up a photo of the two of them fighting a massive amount of Nightmares in the Back Streets near the post office.]
I'm sorry to tell you like this, but it seemed like to the fastest way to talk to two people at once. Do either of you recognize it?

And the one with Luna was in a dream. Bad enough someone's somehow managing to get these pictures without being noticed, but in a dream?
[Staying private] Gonna keep this one thread and juggle accounts to avoid excessive muncest.
Do you think it might be the same person who's behind the other strange things that have happened? Or one of them, at least.
[She's not going to ask why Sora's a target. To her, the reason(s) is(are) fairly clear.]
[Staying private]
That wouldn't surprise me.
[Staying private]
But how could they take it? We'd have noticed someone with a camera.
[Staying private]
[He is considering the possibility of the anonymous person being the one taking the pictures, but that person hadn't really express any interest in anyone. They'd just seemed annoyed that everyone was still there despite efforts to get home.]
[Staying private]
[Xion had her pet theory that there was more than one person/being responsible for all this. Mostly because it didn't make sense to be mocking them for lack of progress one day and then sending them hints the next.]
[Staying private]
Although... someone suggested the photos might be something else showing up as photos. It might make some kind of sense, but I wouldn't even know where to start for working it out.
[Staying private]
What did they suggest might be showing up as photos?
{Namine can think of one thing it might be.]
[Staying private]
He didn't say what, but I'm thinking memories. Dreams dredge up memories sometimes and it might sense if a dreaming world did too. But, if it's a dreaming world pulling on memories, why would Twilight Town be dredging up my memories in its dreams? Especially when it's all pretty recent. The earliest one is the one Bolin found and that's from about when the first few of us got here.
[Staying private]
Well...If dreams dredge up memories, could ours be getting all mixed up with the worlds, and showing up as photos? They could just be from the time here since those memories are the most recent. But that doesn't explain why all the photos have you in them...
[Don't mind her, she's just thinking aloud here.]
[Staying private]
There was something that happened to Roxas in the fake Twilight Town that involved photos being stolen. They'd all had him in them and he was accused of stealing them because of it.
It's not quite the same as this, but with all the pictures turning up in Twilight Town, I couldn't really help thinking of it.
[Staying private]
Yes, it's not quite the same. Though, maybe not so different, if the photos are being used to distract someone from finding us.
[Though that would mean someone was trying to find them if it were true. While a heartening thought, it brings its own set of worries.]
[Staying private]
If that's the case, it brings up another question: who's trying to find us and who's trying to hide us?
[He's knows Roxas's situation with such a situation had actually sucked. Neither the ones searching for him nor the ones hiding him had really had good intentions for him. If this was similar, they had problems...]
[Staying private]
I guess that's what we'll have to find out.
[Now that the topic's been brought up, though, Xion has a few questions.]
A fake Twilight Town? How did that happen?
[Roxas has mentioned some things that worry her, but there's never been a real explanation.]
[Staying private]
[Ahahahaa... Sora knows some things, mostly what happened to Roxas while he was in there.]
Uh... You know... I know it was there and I know what happened to Roxas while he was in there, but I don't know how it was made.
[He knows -why- it was made, but he can't recall at the moment if he discussed that with Xion already or not.]
[Staying private]
[Waiting is something Namine is used to. Not that she thinks it isn't a good idea to actually look for clues, or try to come up with ideas based on what they have, but sometimes waiting, and finding ways to keep occupied while waiting, is all that can be done.
Her information on the digital Twilight Town isn't much more than Sora's.]
DiZ made it using computers, and put Roxas there to make it more difficult for the Organization to find him while I finished fixing Sora's memories.
[Staying private]
[At least their immediate situation isn't dangerous. Waiting won't be so bad as long as it stays that way.
Sora bites his tongue on any remarks about how the fake town seemed to be more prison than safe house. He's pretty sure it would upset Xion to find out how Roxas had gotten there to begin with and it was probably up to Roxas to tell it anyway, especially given that Riku wasn't here anymore...]
But they found him anyway, didn't they?
[Staying private]
[It always did. For now, they could only try to be ready for whatever that might be.
Xion frowned, eyes narrowing slightly. From what Roxas had said, the fake Twilight Town hadn't been meant for his safety at all, and he hadn't gone willingly. That was enough to know for now, though. She'd rather not have that kind of conversation over a viewing screen, and Roxas might not like her asking others about what happened. So instead she focuses on Sora's other remark about the Organization.]
They're good at that.
[Staying private]
[Hopefully, if what comes is another giant Nightmare, they can be more coordinated...
Sora catches that look from Xion. Had Roxas already told her something?]
Noted. I guess whatever happened, they could actually get to him even if they knew where he was.
[That isn't entirely true. They'd sent some Dusks after him and Axel had entered the simulation too. Sora wasn't sure why Axel had given up after the second battle with Roxas and he hadn't had a chance to ask Lea about it.]
[Staying private]
Xion's look definitely indicates that she's heard something.]
It gave us a little more time, at least.
[What really happened is definitely not a story for the communicators.]
[Staying private]
That would be something to discuss in person some time.]
He got to me, at any rate. But I didn't know that until a lot later...
[Even if they're on a private channel, it's hard to say how private it actually is...]
[Staying private]
It would be filed away under "things to discuss while not facing a crisis."]
He got to you?
["Privacy" seems to have different meanings to different people here.]
Re: [Staying private]
There was so much they needed to discuss.]
Was kind of... lead to me, I guess. Or railroaded...
[Sora is mostly concerned that the anonymous poster might be able to see their private conversations, given the tizzy among the Moogles that an anonymous post had created in the first place.</i.}
[Staying private]
There was. Maybe they should try to have everyone meet and compare information again.]
It wasn't the best way, but we didn't have much time.
[Namine will always be sorry for her part in that, even if Roxas seems to have forgiven her.]
[Staying private]
Sora's thinking of somewhat personal things here. Mostly, things tht are relevant to himself and Roxas and likely Xion.]
Is there a good way to lead someone to what might be the end of them?
[Even though he knows it isn't actually the end for Roxas. He just doesn't know what to do for him now.]
[Staying private]
Yeah, that stuff is pretty personal. She wouldn't mind talking about it with her heartbros, though.
She's quiet for a moment, taking all this in. While going back to Sora hadn't been the end of either of them, that didn't make the choice any easier...]
[Staying private]
Perhaps when Roxas is a little more settled, they should talk.]
I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that. Not like that, at least.
[Staying private]
Namine wouldn't say no to being part of that discussion, but would understand if the three of them wanted to talk amongst themselves.]
It's okay. We really didn't give him a choice, though I tried to make sure he knew the truth.
Re: [Staying private]
Sora probably wouldn't exclude Namine from that chat, though he wasn't sure how Xion or Roxas felt about it.]
I don't think he's holding anything against you. Or me. I can't really blame him is he's upset with... with Riku or DiZ, though.
[Staying private]
DiZ was a name she didn't recognize. Riku, on the other hand...]
What did Riku...Maybe we should just save this for talking in person.
[Talking over the communicators is kind of awkward.]
[Staying private]
And he realizes, only after he said it, that he should have said that. Maybe it was for the better that this conversation was occurring after Riku had left...]
Uh... it's a long story...
[Sora doubts it would be any less awkward in person, but even so, it is stuff that needs to be discussed. Eventually.]
Re: [Staying private]
It is. Maybe we should get Roxas and discuss it together?
[It would be very awkward, yes, but less so than talking via communicator with a rather important person absent.]
Re: [Staying private]
If he wants to, I guess. I wouldn't try to force it if he doesn't want to, though...
[At the very least, they could be a bit more certain of privacy.
[Staying private] Wrap up soon?
No, that wouldn't be right.
[Though she wouldn't want to talk behind his back, either. Privacy or no, that's just as bad as forcing someone to talk, in its own way.]
[Staying private] Yeah.
I guess we can ask him... and also ask who he might be comfortable discussing things with.
[No, that wasn't a good idea either.]
Re: [Staying private] Yeah.
I think that would be best.
