Hello? Is it working? Can... anyone hear me? ( as she device seems to turn end over end, it eventually settles on the face of a young woman, looking a little distraught ) I've... heard from the moogles what's going on, but... ( she shakes her head )

Is it really true? That this is an otherworld from Spira entirely? This... isn't Zanarkand is it? They called it Traverse Town but I can't help but wonder if... ( she glances down, giving the viewers a bit of a better look at her as she does to. on top of the dark circles under her eyes -- it seems as though she has some pretty excellent bed-head going on... )

Ah! Maybe if I -- ( and with that, she raises her thumb and index finger to her mouth exhaling sharply to produce a loud whistle -- )

[He blinks and just stares really intelligently for several minutes, before harshly rubbing his eyes.

When he still sees Yuna, a bunch of mixed emotions come to him. Shock. Then relief that someone he knows is here, before he realizes that means she's asleep, too. Still, he can do more if she's here too. The whistle is enough to distract him from his thoughts, and he beams and whistles back. Judging from the way the view keeps messing up, he's sprinting.]

Keep whistling!

Oh! ( there's a rush of excitement. even though it was an otherworld; even though they were separated -- somehow she knew that he would hear it!
and following his command, she does just that, blowing sharply again through her fingers -- ) Here! I'm over here!

[The compliment had been made while a bit distracted before, but he notices Yuna was better at whistling now. That makes it easier for him to find her, and it doesn't take long for him catch sight of her, running faster until they're no longer separated.] Yuna! I'm glad...

You know how to whistle...so well.

[grandsummon]

( the sound of footsteps in the distance is what causes her to turn around. there seems to be a creature hovering above her as well; who also turns, flying a little lop-sidedly as it does so.
yuna closes the remaining distance between them; beaming now at being able to be reunited with him so seamlessly -- )

Well, I couldn't have learned without your help... ( oh. what does that make her cheeks flush slightly? she bows her head to hide it, making her disheveled hairstyle all the more noticeable -- ) Um. Are -- we really asleep?

[glancing at the hovering creature, he's reminded that he should probably make his dream eater sometime soon. especially now that yuna's here too. while he doesn't blush, he does smile, scratching the back of his head awkwardly and looking at the ground.] That's what people keep saying...

[he glances again at her.] I don't think there's any way we can know for certain. It's really weird, though. We still sleep while we're here.

[grandsummon]

I've never heard of anything like that before... ( she frowns; showing obvious concern about the situation... ) Do you think -- we'll be able to get back?

I know we will. [he says it without hesitation, with absolute certainty, even when he questions himself a moment after. he smiles, trying to return some of the strength he's seen yuna show.] Because we're all looking for a way back. Well, a lot of us. We got here somehow, it's just a matter of finding it.

[grandsummon]

( there it is. that instant confidence. like anything was possible. that was something that was hard not to latch onto -- ) Okay. ( she nods, with a tight smile -- ) Um. Have you seen any of the others?

[smile fading only slightly, he looks at the ground, nudging it with his foot.] You're the first.

I see... ( not exactly what she wanted to hear... ) Before we left -- Besaid, I mean -- we agreed that... if we were to get separated, we should stay in one place.

But if everyone agreed to stay in one place...won't they be staying in one place?

( whoops. she notices that wince. ) Ah... I -- I'm sorry. I was trying to get the attention of someone I might know, like you say...

So it -- isn't Zanarkand at all, then.

Yuna. ( the bows in the prayer stance -- ) I am the summoner Yuna -- from the isle of Besaid.

Um. Well, I... was a little unsure about -- ( she looks up, as she camera's view focuses on a komory bat flitting about overhead, squeaking contentedly -- ) what to do with this creature, exactly...

He will act as your guardian; you can play with him and feed him, and he will assist you in battle against the nightmares that are here.

[Ienzo looks away from the screen for a moment.]

Ah, here. This is a document that two of the residents created to explain the dream eaters and their habits.

Guardian...? ( oh dear; that word has more meaning here than you know ienzo!! which has her regarding the bat with a bit of a different look than before )

But -- perhaps I should also ask... These machina -- the one I'm using to speak with you -- they're all right to use? Are there -- um -- Maesters here that approved of them?

I'm not familiar with the term "Maesters" so I would venture to say that there aren't any here to approve or disapprove.

I see... ( and in a bit of a lower voice -- ) I was afraid of that...

( and then she speaks up again -- ) Then -- I don't suppose you could tell me what the quickest way back to Spira is, could you?

I'm afraid not. Everyone has looked for a way home, but none is evident as of this point. I'd like to return to my home as well.

[grandsummon]

You mean -- ( she blinks -- ) you're from an otherworld as well? ( really, she shouldn't be all that surprised, seeing as how she just literally fell into one herself... but this is kind of up her alley, ienzo! )

Everyone but the moogles is from a place other than this one; there are some of us from the same worlds, but this isn't home to any of us.

[Ienzo wasn't entirely sure about the moogles, either; they went where they liked, but there was no telling if they were natives of this place.]

( her eyes widen at the news; ) I... I never dreamed there were so many worlds! ( start with zanarkand maybe then work her way up, you know take it slow -- ) That's amazing.

Most people aren't aware that there's anything beyond their own world; it can be quite a surprise.

I knew that it was possible, but... the sheer amount is surprising, certainly. It's almost as if there are endless possibilities...

I suspect that there must be. There are as many worlds as there are stars in the sky.

( more importantly, this is a talking freakin' pony! she's obviously surprised -- ) Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to... ( and now she seems to frown a little -- ) Yes, I've heard it now. This -- really is another world entirely, isn't it? ( it's a bit much to digest at first, sorry luna )
