Fourth Stitch: Making My Way Downtown

[It's immediately obvious that Rarity is in Ponyville - not because she's a pony, as that's her default state of affairs, but because it's broad daylight outside. She smiles at the communicator and moves it in a slow pan, showcasing everything before her; as she's standing on the bridge next to the portal, this encompasses the town square and a good amount of scenery.]

For those of you who haven't seen the new world yet, this is Ponyville, where Princess Celestia and Princess Luna and Pinkie Pie and I are from! Well, I suppose Princess Celestia and Princess Luna are technically from Canterlot, but we don't seem to be able to go there at the moment.

Anyway, now that you all have the hang of walking, I'd be more than happy to show you around if you haven't already had a chance to do some exploring of your own. There are Nightmares in a few places, however, so be sure your Spirits are up to task when you come. And if you haven't quite figured out walking yet, I'd be happy to help you with that too. [And if Emile and Chell don't think they're getting the full tour of the town, they're sadly mistaken.]

Oh! And there might be a timberwolf made with white bark walking around sometimes. Don't panic - it's actually quite friendly! Evidently not everypony becomes- well, a pony when they come here.

And Pinkie, I'd say we're long overdue for a welcome party, wouldn't you?

[He remains still out of sheer confusion up until the point the Meowjesty licks him, at which point he's taking a couple steps back and growling. He didn't mind Carolina's Frootz cat, but this in addition to the pink pony offering him cupcakes is a little much to tolerate.]

[Mace, taking cues from his Person, hops back and forth with his own growls]

[Well, different worlds do have different wildlife, so as long as Rarity says timberwolves are a thing than she'll take Rarity at her world.]

I'll keep it in mind.

[sailorlaughter]

Ooooh, hey! You two are like TWINS! Do you wanna cupcake too, little guy?

[She offers another cupcake to Mace. It's hard to tell exactly where she just produced it from, but she is definitely holding it now.]

[too_high]

[Maine eases back entirely, grumbling. He's not planning on taking any cupcakes.]

[Mace, on the other hand, can't wait to gobble it down, and in an instant flips from posturing to wagging his tail happily about and devouring the cupcake.]

[sailorlaughter]

Yay! I'm SO glad you like it! [Yep she's completely ignoring Maine's refusal to take her baked goods.] So what's your name? Are you from the same place as Wash and all those guys? Your helmet's WAY cooler than theirs!

[too_high]

[He sustains an even, low rumble of annoyance. Mace, on the contrary, is pretty taken by the Pink Pony With Treats and as soon as he's done he's going to snuffle up to her sniffing around for more.]

[Maine goes to his device to send her a text.]

MAINE. YES. GO AWAY.

I'll definitely stop in; it looks like a nice place.

[sailorlaughter]

[Snort]

Well that's a weird name!

SO IS PINKIE PIE.

[What pies were pink, even?]

[sailorlaughter]

[She snorts]

You think THAT'S funny? You oughta hear my full name! [She glances around before leaning in to whisper:] It's Pinkamina Diane Pie!

[And then she bursts out laughing.]

[too_high]

[He can only stare at her. Seriously? How is Pie even legitimately a last name? He grumbles lowly and shakes his head.]

[Mace, on the other hand, is bouncing with excitement at the laughter, and makes enthusiastic little yips at her Dream Eater. I like your Person! She is very happy!]

[sailorlaughter]

[Lord Tubbington rumbles amiably, before leaning down to lick Mace as well. He likes his person too!]

I don't go by all THAT, though, unless my mom's yelling at me!

[too_high]

[Maine glances around. Was there some angry pink pony going to come up and try to kick him for talking to her daughter?]

[Mace squeaks delightedly and hops up and down. Yay they have awesome Persons!]

[The annoying thing, Emile had decided, was that this combat instincts were close to useless in a four-legged form. Luckily his Spirits were unchanged and still able to fight without reservation, so the Nightmares weren't giving him too much trouble...yet.

Still, he trotted over to Rarity showing an excellent grasp of pony balance.]

Coulda guessed just as much, this bein' your world and all.

[sailorgenerous]

Please do. She's actually quite nice.

[sailorgenerous]

Oh, of course not. They wouldn't dare hassle me now. [There may be a story behind that.]

[She pauses for a moment - she hadn't thought any part of that sentence was difficult to understand - and repeats herself.] I always have time to make an ensemble for a friend.

[Too late.] Something darker, I think, to give you a bit of pop. The little black dress is always a classic, of course, though we could try something in a very deep green or blue. Now, when can you come by for fittings?

[sailorgenerous]

Wonderful! I'd be more than happy to show you around. Do be careful of the Nightmares, though.

[sailorgenerous]

Oh, you found the Apple Family Farm! It is lovely out there, isn't it. If you can find the barn, I'll meet you there shortly.

[sailorgenerous]

[She is so happy she can't even.]

Don't you look lovely! Come with me - I simply must show you the boutique!

Uh..huh. [That must be one heck of a story.]

[ She heard you just fine, Rarity. It was the understanding that took a bit to follow, and her ears slide back - though she makes no further comment. She's not sure she's comfortable with the designation, but any disagreement Carolina might manage has been thoroughly trampled by Rarity's insistance that she design her a new dress.]

[Faintly amused] I'm not going to be able to talk you out of that at all, am I?

[Rarity greets him with a wide smile, trying very hard not to process the fact that the skull turned out to be Emile's cutie mark. Of course it did. She really shouldn't be surprised, given his...affinity for combat.]

I'd imagine that the fact that you're a pony now might have been a clue.

[sailorgenerous]

[It certainly is. Ask her sometime.]

Now why in Equestria would you want to do that? [Read: not a chance, dear.]

[ Perhaps she'll ask while you subject her to that fitting. ]

[ Carolina regarded the unicorn for a moment, before shaking her head. She still wasn't certain how she'd been talked into this, but if it made Rarity happy to whip something up, she'd at least cave in graciously. This time. (Besides. It wasn't as though she'd attend the event.) ]

I have nothing pressing to deal with right now. Where should we meet? [She's assuming in Ponyville, of course.]

Right. It shouldn't be that hard to find a barn.

[Good thing he's standing next to it.]
