It made a great big hole in the wall, which she just ran and disappeared into! Was this like a gun that made anything into an origin mirror? That had to be one of the strangest things she'd ever seen!]
[Ammy had already picked up a lot of speed and didn't really have the time or space to skid to a halt...especially on slippery metal floors like in this spaceship. There was nothing to do but jump right in after her. Leap before you think, right?]
[In this case, she kind of wished she had stopped to think first, as this wasn't at all like an origin mirror. She leaped out of the hole, only to find herself tripping over her own paws as if she'd just jumped out of the ground too fast. Wait...this was on the ground! Ammy struggled to regain her balance as she kept up the chase, but her head was still spinning.]
[Okay, they couldn't all keep this up. If that sort of weapon really could make origin mirrors wherever it shot, things were going to get awful complicated real fast. And she didn't want to risk the armored people behind her using their own weapons on her.]
[Keeping up her run (after a more than haphazard start), she pulled up her canvas, focused on Chell and painted a Veil of Mist. A field of purple mist spread out in a radius around the escaping woman, sending her into a state of extreme slow motion.]
