since1928: (Mickey: Gosh!)
[There's a high-pitched yelp.

It sounds sort of strangled, or maybe it even sounds like someone getting squished under a heavy weight. Whatever has happened doesn't take too long to recover from, however, as the high-pitched voice rouses from that former dazed state.
]

...Oh boy. Anybody got the license plate of that train??

[He tries to laugh, letting it peter off into a mild groan.

Somewhere behind him, there's the sound of a muffled, fat bark.

timeywimeyorb: (Concerned Citizen)
[Setsuna is standing on top of the lighted tower in the middle of the Fourth District, her eyes tilted upwards as she watches the Spellican fly overhead and pay no mind to her or her two Dream Eaters, Maia and Phoebe. She frowns as it passes and she looks troubled. Once the giant Nightmare has vanished from sight for the time being, she returns her gaze to the Communicator in her hand.]

I apologize in advanced if this is waking anyone. The events as of late have made it difficult for me to sleep. I have been trying to piece everything that happened together, but so far I have very little. My mind has just been spinning in circles.

I have been watching the Spellican's movements for awhile now and they have not changed. Few of the recent arrivals from the mass appearance remain and I have also noticed that we have yet to regain the ability to transverse the worlds as we did before. Surely there must be a connection between these incidents. Something that Spellican has done perhaps? I'm afraid I am a little ignorant on what abilities it may possess.

[She doesn't like not having the answers to her questions. She leans against a beam and sighs.]

Do you perhaps think we should confront the Dream Eater? We destroyed the other Nightmares he summoned...perhaps instead of waiting for him to attack us we should take the fight to him? I would prefer some advice however, this would only be my third time encountering the more powerful Nightmares and I know that many of you have more experience where that is concerned.
oi_earthgirl: (Oh Really / You think?)
[Donna holds up a male's shirt, definitely not hers and motions towards it with the other hand. She looks slightly confused, but not bothered by finding it... probably from finding random stuff in the TARDIS all the time.]

Doctor, I doubt this is yours... I have no idea how it got in here. Anyone recognize it?
her_mouse_jesty: (Bring Honor To Us All)
[With all the strangeness that happened during the 4th wall shenanigans, Minnie hadn't been able to properly introduce herself to this community. That simply wouldn't do! So today, with her Meow Wow constantly bouncing behind her, as they tend to do, she holds up the device in her hands, hoping she's using it correctly. Technology was more of her husband's specialty.]

Greetings, one and all. I'd like to thank you for your very warm and generous hospitality, and to formally introduce myself to those I haven't met yet. I am Queen Minnie Mouse, ruler of the Disney Kingdom. It is a pleasure to meet all of you. I'm... still confused about a few things here, but many of you have been very kind to inform me about what's going on.

So I would like all of us to work together, and become very good friends! The bonds of friendship are the strongest thing in every world!
seasaltkeys: (Bring it on)
Does anyone want to play Struggle?

[ooc:please be aware that tags will likely be slow until wednesday Sorry about the delay there folks. Pretty much the moment after I posted this, it suddenly dawned on me just how much work I had to do. That's done now so hopefully things will be a little more up to speed.]
fromearth: (On the Plains of the Red Planet)
Okay, is this thing worki--yeah, it's... I'm in the frame? I... yeah. Right.

[The cowboy straightens, clears his throat, hooks his thumb in his belt, and gives the communicator his most calm and collected scowl. All a matter of looking like none of this bothers you, even when it's a hideous mess. Which this is looking like it is. Business as usual.]

All right, folks, this is Marshall Sparks Nevada, representative of the Mars-Earth coalition. I know this place likely ain't on either planet, but this whole business jumped up to the top of my priority list. Mostly on account've all my other business is in another dimension, so you know, whatever.

Point is, here, I'm gonna hafta ask all've you to provide a list of your name, your home planet... the planet you were last on, if'n those two ain't the same... what space-year you're from, and your dimensional zip code.

Reckon I may have a ways afore we're gettin' out of here proper, but more I can know about how far-spread a problem this is, the more appropriate charges can be put on the culprits for this nonsense once I wrap it all up.
allpurposescarf: (yes. yes it could work.)
[And here we have a new face. One who seems to have a fairly interesting choice in clothes, if the over-long scarf is any indication. Still, he doesn't seem to mind it any. In fact, he seems to be far more interested in the communicator itself.]

Ah, there we are. You know, it really is fascinating how many different ways to talk to people there are. You’d think that sooner or later all devices like this one would end up looking he same, but I’ve seen so many different kinds, over the years. And none of them are at all alike, except in what they do. Communication, no matter what form it takes.

So, hello, then! How are you all doing, out there?
oi_earthgirl: (Oh no you didnt!)
[The video shows an apartment that may be familiar to a couple of people in this world... except part of it is scorched like there was a fire somewhere earlier. Her Pricklemane is standing nearby, a bucket and towel discarded to the side.]

Oi! Doctor!

Tell that spirit of yours, Harkness, to keep his fire spewing self away from my things! I'm not a huge fan of finding my stuff on fire! [The Pricklemane goes off screen, chittering to itself as Donna contemplates the scorched portion of the room as Donna mutters to herself before the video cuts out...]

Teaching it the bad habits of tinkering with things. Hmph. [End video]
rampantfantasy: (replicas say what)
Weird question.

How do you decide on a name for something?

[The name displayed on this post is simply "Not Riku." That's really helpful of you, kid.]
laughingsword: (this one time at band camp...)
Hello~ooo… [in extreme magnification, a pair of eyes blink at the communicator for a few seconds before the face retreats into focus.] Ah! It's working, isn't it? That little light… what a funny dream.

[He chuckles, and holds the communicator a little further away, turning it from side to side.] Very funny. I've tried pinching myself ten thousand times, and I can't seem to wake up! Has anybody found out a better way? If I sleep in all morning I'll ruin my reputation, you see. Everyone will tease me!

[The temporary pout dissolves into a smile as he looks around beyond the communicator.] But maybe I can look around for just a few hours first. That wouldn't be so bad, would it? Ah, look! I think that's a candy store--!
hiptobe_eraqus: (Excuse me?)
[Eraqus's communicator switches on suddenly in the middle of the night, although this is due to Kura, his Hebby Repp. Apparently, there is some to-do going on in the room next to the bedroom...]

[Most of the large pile of Spirits are snoozing, all except for the newest, Shikara. The Flowbermeow is bouncing quickly around Chuza, trying to get the Meow Wow to wake up. Come on, what if master is having nightmares again? They should go check on him! Except Chuza, being the laziest Spirit on Mars herself, is fast asleep. She tries bouncing on Chuza, but no go.]

[Obviously, this requires extra hands. Shikara then proceeds to use that boundless energy to stir awake all the other Spirits she can find...Gengo, Jyunai, Soemon, the new adopted additions Ma-ti and Linka, and of course Kura is already up. Only Yaza is nowhere to be found. Shikara bounces around, sharing that excitement. Come on, guys! If we all jump, that will wake up Chuza! Then master will have two Meow Wows being all responsible!]

[At first, just Ma-ti joins in, rolling into Chuza. That does nothing, so Linka tries bouncing on her head. Still nothing. Eventually, Soemon and Gengo begin bouncing too, all while Jyunai just scolds them in the corner. However, with both a Kooma Panda and a Thunderaffe all stomping along with the others, it's enough weight and motion to shake the entire house. Chuza doesn't wake up...but Eraqus does, and he comes storming in a moment later.]

What in the worlds is going on here?!

[Every Spirit stops in place and looks up at him. Oops, caught red-pawed. He notices the light coming from the switched-on communicator, and just buries his face in one palm, looking exasperated.]
yabigfurball: (Howl at the moon)
[Oh hey, that's Ammy on the screen. Seems she's activated her communicator for the first time in awhile. Unfortunately, she looks pretty worried. And while she's not at Ponyville, since she looks like a normal wolf, it's still Ponyville that's got her worried. After a moment to make sure that the communicator is working, she shows it a picture:]

[The sun has been missing for awhile! Where has it gone?]
brodakota: (Default)
So have the dreams been making anyone else think, or is it just me? [Concerns about the morality of the project you work for + confirmation that the project you work for has no morals + dreams about darkness and light and fun stuff like that/snorin pricklemane = insomnia!]
timeywimeyorb: (Elegant)
[A new woman's face make an appearance on the communicator. She is sitting at a cafe in Traverse Town's first district with it propped up against something on the table. She seems fairly comfortable with using it. Her dark hair falls over her shoulders and she brushes it back without thought. A cup of tea can be seen sitting in front of her and she sits before it with an elegant grace about her. She is in fashionable civilian clothes and she offers the broadcast a warm, if small, smile.]

Hello. My name is Setsuna Meioh. I've been filled in on what I believe are the basics of this place and what has been going on. Or at least that this is a very elaborate dream world. I'm afraid the Moogle could not give me much information on who was here or who would be a good person to speak with about the current problems that result in people being pulled into dreams that are not there own. Or why they are being attacked in them for that matter.

[She sighs, letting it turn into an action that cools her tea. She raises the cup to her lips, sips, and then sets it back down, she looks down at the tea with a pensive expression.]

I thought I was done worrying about being attacked in my dreams. I suppose my prediction that the peace would not last was accurate.

[She looks up. Trying to appear cool, calm, and collected. It's fairly successful except for the tiny bit of worry in her eyes.]

I'll be at this outdoors cafe if you would like to meet in person. I do prefer speaking that way over communication devices like this...but I can understand if you are shy to meet me. I only wish to have more information.

[The feed will end there. If persons are in the First District of Traverse Town feel free to sit and join her. The bag the moogle gave her rests on the table and obviously she hasn't made her Dream Eater yet. Perhaps you would like to give her some advice]
oi_earthgirl: (Looking Up)
[When the video turns on, it shows the bridge of the Mother of Invention. Donna's been spending her time snooping around a bit. Her still unnamed Pricklemane can be seen in the background, sitting on top of one of the computer consoles.]

I wonder if any of this works? Because this is some interesting technology. [Her Pricklemane twitches his tail at her for a moment before squeaking something.] Of course I know what I'm doing. [She doesn't.] Besides, I don't think I can access anything important anyway.
juniorganymedian: (most disturbing)
[The quick, light breaths coming from the audio indicate that the person speaking is performing some form of physical exertion.]

My apologies for any brusqueness, but I require the assistance of a healer immediately. I have just witnessed a person leaping from the edge of the tower in the Fourth District of Traverse Town. I do not know if they could have survived a fall from such a height, but if they have, I suspect my own first aid knowledge and potion will be insufficient to provide adequate care for such traumatic injuries. I am making all due haste to the area at this moment. Thank you for your attention.
sailorgenerous: (Not quite what I had in mind)
[The video clicks on to show Rarity looking rather serious. Anyone who knows her will notice something different - namely that she now sports a golden choker-style necklace with a purple diamond-shaped gem set in the center. If you've been paying attention to the network, it should look familiar.]

As I'm sure you can see, my Element of Harmony appeared! And I do mean appeared, right out of nowhere. It was very odd, even for the Elements.

Pinkie, have you found yours yet? Has anypony else had any luck?

Oh! I almost forgot - I can't seem to take it out of Ponyville. It simply disappears when I go anywhere else, and it only reappears when I come back. It's certainly never done that before.
juniorganymedian: (so not amused)
Good day, my name is Jeeves. I am given to understand this device has some extraordinary broadcasting ability akin to a radio or television, but with multi-way communicative properties. I have been here only a short time and require some assistance, for which I will gladly work in trade.

I have created one of the creatures known as a spirit. I have been led to believe that the animal serves some useful function as protection in this realm against nightmares of a similar build, but alternate coloration. The Komory Bat now in my possession defies all training and disciplinary methods with which I am familiar for service animals. I would deeply appreciate some instruction on their care and control. It has taken to fluttering around me in a highly distracting way. Thank you.

I have also been informed this device has some archival function. If it may be accessed readily, I should like to know how.
unrecovered: (Default)
[The video flickers on to show both Wash and North in what looks like one of the hotel rooms. It’s far enough away that it’s obvious they’ve set it up on a flat surface somewhere. Wash is still wearing his helmet; old habits die very hard.]

Hey. Does anyone know anything about these Dream Eater things? We know they can fight and that you can make them from little rainbow pieces; aside from that, I’ve got nothing.

[There’s a squeak from offscreen, and Wash looks over-] Hey, get over here. [-and leans out of the frame.]

[North, meanwhile, has his helmet off, because all things considered, this area’s probably safe and he can let his guard down a bit. ]

Also, do they all carry loose change or something? It’s an odd way of making money.

[He glances over at Wash.]

Everything alright, Wash?

Yeah, fine, just- c’mere!

[There’s more squeaking offscreen, and finally Wash leans back into the frame, pulling his bat into his lap. The bat squeaks piteously, and it’s pretty obvious that one wing is bandaged.]

Is there a vet around here, or someone who knows how to take care of this? [He gestures at the bandage.] I can do this much, but that’s about it.

[Responses will come from both Wash ([personal profile] unrecovered) and North ([personal profile] brodakota).]
